I took my son and 3 of his friends here for his 7th Birthday and the staff were nothing short of amazing

Some of my party arrived before us and asked about a booking under our name but there wasn't one at their site. The Paul had already called ahead to coatbridge and got our booking transferred over to them before I had even arrived. He then upgraded my son and his friends to the VIP lanes and reserved a table for them at the bar to have food. He then went and got my son some gifts for it being his Birthday and also when they went to hand in their token receipts he gave all 4 boys blow up hammers. The boys all had an amazing night and my song has said it was his best birthday ever!

Thank you so so much for making my sons Birthday even more perfect and for everything that was done tonight. We will be back very soon and my friends have also said they will be back as the service was amazing.

I had ma wee girls party here and it was amazing well worth the money and she had a blast but couldn’t have done it without our party host Laura she was amazing with the kids and made us so welcome and she was so friendly she went above and beyond for ma girl and her friends thanks again Laura and the staff at Hollywood bowl xxx we will be back soon for a family night out xxxx

First time here and we was well impressed, staff went over and above to be helpful, drink service to our bowling lane so didn't need to worry about running out of drink, great place and very busy, we will be back again, fun night for all ages.

Good for a family day with the kids. Staff welcoming only thing is the tickets they kids get disappointed thinking they can get an ok thing but end up spending£5/£10 for things out the pound shop like slinkes ext sweets

Easy to book, check though as it's cheaper to book everyone individually than with a family ticket. Service was good, very attentive staff and overall would happily go back. Was there for a mid week game at 11am so not sure how or if this would differ from booking within a busier period.

Booked online .when we got there we added another person no problem...got food..burgers where good but mushrooms where vile n couldnt taste the cheese...we where getting looked after by Caitlin..she was a treasure..very helpful n cheery great lassie..would be back ..prices of drink bit ott tbh..

Was at bowling yesterday with my kids and grandkids as a family outing for my grandkids birthday we all had fun bowling but you service is shocking the food came and meals where short and cold when they arrived my daughter never ate her burger as she said it was disgusting also kids meals came without plates and was all on the 1 plate with the burgers we where supposed to get chips and burgers but never got chips we waited ages on the food arriving my son went to staff 3 times to see what was happening just to be told it would arrive soon and it never did. I will not be returning to your bowling as service is terrible. Kids also went to play on the ticket machines and your 2 machines had no change so we had disappointed children

The bowling part was fab so modern compared to some down Ayrshire way however as we had ate lunch we were looking for sweets, treats for 3 kids. Bit unimpressed with the choice that is a vending machine and with kids all under 7 maybe something cheaper like a 2p machine would be good in the games section.

The booking system is not user friendly, you cannot add all the difderent types of players at once. It takes far too long adding one type of player ie. junior 1 game then going back to the start to add adults etc.

I was shocked to discover concessions are not allowed at weekends as surely this is discrimination against OAPs and disabled?!

The venue and staff itself is fine although don't play in lane 10.

I felt it was quite expensive for a family group of 7 of us to play, especially as concessions are not allowed at weekends. I did however receive a feedback email which offered another game at 50% off to be used within 14 days if i filled it out. I submitted the feedback and received the discount which was fine. Since playing the 2nd game i have been pestered on Facebook to write a review so here it is!!

We booked prepaid bowl and eat kids deal for 3 children.

Go on arrival our lane hadn't been cleaned before us there was dirty napkins and bowls left.

We went to order food to be told there was a fault and there was only limited microwave food available which we were not told about at time of booking or payment.

There was a group of school kids who had food ordered in for the children from burger king and we had no option of this just microwaved stuff.

No apology was given again I understand things happen but the school paid for the same deal as us and got treated better than our smaller group.

Had a good time bowling eventually after the hassle we had of booking. We are a family of 5. We wanted a family game and add a junior but your system is terrible and wouldn’t let us. We thought we could add on when got to the venue. But apparently we couldn’t. The guy who served us told me it was my fault that I done this wrong but I told him the issues and agreed that the system isn’t good. Not only that we couldn’t pay the online price and had to pay price. It was my sons birthday as well. We have been a good few time but the service has really went downhill and will thicken twice about going here in future.

Staff here are very very unhelpful. They make up the closing time when they feel like it, Although the website and Facebook both state that they don’t shut until 12.

Been twice this week at 10 and 9:30pm to be told that the bowling was shut because it wasn’t busy. Nonsense their was people still bowling on at least two of the lanes and the arcade and bar were fairly busy.

They were walking around turning change machines and arcade machines off while people are still using them ! Disgraceful behaviour and Staff act like they can’t be bothered and don’t want to be there

I tried to book online for 2 family games but it was not clear how many people were included as I wanted 3 adults and 2 kids so I called the booking number. I specifically asked about the family booking but was charged individually for 3 adults and 2 kids. I mentioned this when we got there but was told to phone back. I phoned back and said I had been over charged and was offered a free game voucher which I do not want. I want to be refunded the money I had been over charged. I was told a manager would listen to the original call and phone me back but a day later and nothing. Surely you want to give your customers the best deal or is it just about getting as much money as possible. No customer would be happy with getting charged more when there is a cheaper option for the same deal. I shall be looking into this further and contacting trading standards if I do not get this difference refunded.

I would like Hollywood Bowl to receive this text as a complaint regarding a game at 10pm on the 2nd of June at the Glasgow (Springfield Quay) facilities.



In the middle of our second game (we were happy with our first and asked for a second), the point counting system did not work as the screens were not counting points for bowls that had been taken down. At the beggining a strike was shown as a 9 pointer but we thought this was a punctual issue. After 5 or 6 rounds with this issues the problem has gone worse as a player has thrown 4 bowls and the screens showed 0.



When we have asked the crew for a fix, first thing they have done has been asking as to take one more shot (luck of trust towards the customer?) and as the problem kept going on (in front of the crew member) the person has asked for a reset of the system (keeping the scores) and has told us to keep playing (what about previous scores? Crew member only deleted 2 rounds out of 6). Right after that, we have resumed the game and hit a strike...screens showed 9 again.



Instead of just moving us to another lane and reseting the game, which was the obvious way to behave from Hollywood Bowl the crew has continued trying to make us keep playing. After we have stated many times how unfair that was, we have been offered to move to another lane, with same scores and vouchers for a game for 5 people. We were 8 playing...and only 5 vouchers offered. After many minutes of debate (we lost around an hour) and after speaking to the manager (who has showed up with a member from security), there has been no progress, that was the initial and final offer. As we thought that was extremely unfair (we spent £150 and we felt robbed), we decided to refuse the 5 vouchers and asked for the option to put a written complaint.



We were told to put it on the website and we were told to leave the building just because they saw us typing the complaint on our phones. Why didn't just move us to another lane and reset the game? Once they were offering vouchers, why 5 instead of 8? We felt robbed and we saw the huge lack of customer care that this place has. Every customer should be treated fairly and we were not. Asking us to leave the building was the last thing we would have expected.

Deputy manager could only quote terms and conditions and had zero communication skills.

Australian ‘manager’ (with zero personality) couldn’t make a management call and we now have to wait for a call from the GM Emma.

We booked bowling for 20 people, were told on the phone when booking we would only need to pay for how many actually bowled. Paid £200 upfront, 17 bowled spent over £300 at the bar but they wouldn’t refund us £30 for over booking. We asked for the overspend to be compensated at the bar on our next round but the manager on duty wouldn’t have any of it. 17 bowlers that had a good night but totally ruined by an incompetent duty manager with no people skills. Would not recommend and will not be back.

Awfull experience, I feel robbed. I have been there today and we have had an issue with the street and tryed to get it solved, but instead of that they have treated us as lyers and told us that we were irrespectful with them when we were not even able to finish the game. The worst part has been when they have told us that they were giving us a voucher for each of us worthing a single play, we were 8; we were offered 5, really? Summarizing, awfull customer care, Emma, very poor maners.
