Of all our baking, there are few which can be called the special ones. Chocolate Caramel Cheesecake is one of them. Only the lucky ones have seen in whole. There are some who come especially for it. Went today with my non-vegan Mum and we both absolutely loved it!! I mentioned to the waitress that I had a nut allergy as well and she was super thorough and checked a few things with me before bringing my food. Tasty and VERY filling food along with lovely staff! Will defo be back!

We went here yesterday and it was brilliant, I am gluten intolerant aswell and there was more than enough options, I had a zucchini burger with the best gf bread I've had in a long time! We also took some cakes away, I had a banoffee pie and it was beautiful! We will definitely be back!

Took my son here today for his 19th birthday, and it was lovely! I had the smoked tofu burger, he had the jackfruit burger- both were excellent. The chips were phenomenal! Big portions, so much so, we had no room left for the beautiful cakes! Next time ;)

The smoked tofu sandwich is absolutely divine, and the same goes for the coconut, pineapple and lemon drizzle cheesecake.

Most definitely going back next time im up in Edinburgh.

Superb central café, wonderful menu selection and prices. Smashed avocado fab, my daughter said best burger and chips ever! JackFruit and mayo amazing.

No room for dessert so bought a selection to take home banoffi pie, brownie, choc summer fruit cake and choc and peanut butter - omg amazing to get so many non dairy cakes and all good even got the non vegan family members to try and thumbs up. We will be back time and time again, so easy to find near portrait gallery and steps away from bus station entrance at back of old st james centre. TRY IT ALL its worth it. very welcoming staff!

Really nice friendly cafe with an amazing menu of scrummy vegan food. We were a party of seven. I loved my 'pulled jackfruit' and the chocolate peanut butter shortbread 'cheese'cake is to die for!! I will certainly be going back. Thank you!!! 😋

Really lovely little cafe, with a great menu! They have a cute little patio out the back which is quiet and nicely decorated. The only thing would be that the portion sizes are quite big and the menu is a little pricey for food. The seasoning could be better but maybe it was my choice off the menu only. I would definitely come back and try something different!

I have been to Holy Cow a few times now - would thoroughly recommend it. The service is great and burgers are delicious and taste very fresh and beautifully homemade. Today I had soup and for the first time, cake. The warm, homemade bread along with the soup, tasted amazing. There was a fantastic selection of cakes to choose from, and the slice of cake was lovely.

Great smoked tofu burger away from the festival madness. Sadly, no room for the delicious looking cakes though! Prompt arrival of a big carafe of water much appreciated. Would definitely recommend and return next time I'm in Edinburgh. And I'm not even veggie, let alone vegan!

Great cafe with friendly staff and really good food. I recommend the mushroom burger or tofu burger, but I don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu. Nice decor and atmosphere too. �

First visit today after walking past more than once without finding it. Well worth the trip - excellent beetroot based burger (not sure about the name Bloody tho?), amazing banoffee and great coffees, smoothies etc all made and delivered promptly by friendly staff. Will definitely be back.

Fantastic new vegan spot, the pulled jackfruit burger is amazing and the cakes are some of the best vegan cakes I have every had! A great place to bring omnivorous/vegetarian friends and family as they will definitely not be missing the meat and dairy, and the portion sizes are very generous. Highly recommended.

Definitely pricier than other cafés, but the food is restaurant-quality in quality and portion size. Would highly recommend the super juicy portobello mushroom burger. If you're going to buy a vegan cake from any venue, make it this place. Best vegan cakes (I've tasted) in Scotland - but again, the quality is reflected in the price.

Popped in today whilst in town shopping. Had a lovely quarter pounder burger which was delicious! The ‘cheese’ sauce was one of the best I’ve tried! We would have had a slice of cake too but hadn’t lifted enough cash - hopefully you guys will get card payments sorted soon! We will b back again and hope to try some of your delicious chocolate and peanut butter cake then! X
