Through the winter months one of our old oaks lost a limb and had to have emergency treatment. Simon came back in April to make sure all was well and to give it a bit of a haircut. Thank you Simon from Ross-shire Tree Surgery for all your hard work. It's not the first time we have used Simon and it will not be the last, the trees always look smarter when he has been.

After some cool and depressing looking days, the sun is out at last, with a promise of summer arriving at the week-end!!!!

Our garden is showing definate signs that summer is on its way.

Another garden from the yellow book scheme but closer to home this time. The Old Town of Leys Garden, is a hidden gem overlooking Inverness. Established in 2003 it is a beautiful serene garden made for sitting and reflection!! If you are in Inverness and have a couple of hours to spare, look no further than this wonderful garden.

Another wonderful garden that we only found this year (how could we have missed it!!) is Durnamuck, again on the West Coast, such a beautiful place. It opens July/Aug/Sept through the yelow book scheme, I have to admit I have fallen in love with the garden. Its a long time till next July but I suggest you put it in your diary and make sure you go look, you will not be dissapointed.

At the begining of September we took a little ride to one of my favorite gardens, Attadale. Autumn had definately started to show itself, what beautiful scenery and colours. If anyone is in the area do not miss this garden, it is an absolute treat!!
