Homebase - Irvine

Was helped courteously and had our products exchanged promptly for the ones we chose..

Good customer service. Very good ranges and links with other stores which are fairly near if products are not available.

Awkward layout, dull store, bit expensive but nice till staff

Good shop but there was roadworks in the carpark and had to park in another shops parking area, but thats only temp

All the plants are half dead from lack of water. What a shame.

Phoned about a product i had seen on line. The person who answered my call checked if it was in stock and offered to put it aside for later collection. Could not have been more helpful.

I will not be back. For the sake of a £10 bag of grout, which had been stacked on the wrong shelf, this store has lost a regular customer. A faceless worthy on the 'phone allows the front desk to take the flak. Only one star minimum to post but should be none.

Avoid at all costs and get your garden furniture elsewhere!

Don't turn up thinking you can load up garden furniture into your car to use in your garden any time soon! Waiting times for my garden patio set were 30 days but no-one told me this at the till.

Re: 11 piece table and chairs Andorra patio set - Extremely disappointed, bank holiday weekend ruined, waiting in on a delivery of garden furniture (which was out of stock) but no-one from Homebase informed me of this.

Went to Irvine Homebase hoping to purchase garden furniture but was informed by staff it was available for home delivery only, that the garden furniture would be delivered on or by the 30th May 2016.

Poor customer service and false advertising - Was initially informed by an Irvine member of staff that the 11 piece garden furniture set had no issues with stock/deliveries as another member of staff had mentioned in conversation that there was an issue with stock for this product!

If I hadn't contacted Homebase directly, no-one would have contacted me to inform me the item was out of stock and wouldn't be delivered until 17th June (waiting almost a month for garden furniture to arrive is not what I was informed when paying at the till). If I had known this, I wouldn't have purchased this item and went elsewhere.

They then had the audacity to send me a "Bank Holiday" email promoting Andorra garden furniture, their emails imply that you can purchase garden furniture and have it in your garden that bank holiday weekend.

I feel this should be stated clearly on any marketing materials that this stock is only available via home delivery and deliveries take 14-30 days give an accurate & true picture of time-scales.

They state that delivery is "subject to availability" so this is a disclaimer and best they could do was to offer me £50 gift voucher (to be used on a separate additional purchase) as a form of compensation. I have finished doing up the garden, the furniture was the last thing I needed so explained I have nothing more to purchase.

If they had taken the £50 off the cost of the £310 purchase cost, then I might have been swayed, but felt this was a bit of a slap in the face after my bank holiday was ruined waiting in on garden furniture that wasn't in stock!
