Dear customers please be advised. Due to complete lack of intellect and short term memory loss we have managed to lose the keys for our chip van and the secure compound where it sleeps, so as a result the chip van will NOT be operating in Lamlash tonight. Dave would like to apologise and say it's all Alex's fault and Alex would like to apologise and say that Dave needs to go to the memory clinic. We will be operational tomorrow even if we have to break in to our own chip van. Sorry for any inconvenience and our stupidity!

Don't forget our chip van will be in Lamlash from 5 to 7 tonight serving fresh and cooked to order fish and chips plus all the other usual favourites. Tomorrow we will be in Kilmory. See you all there

As the festive season is upon us, Hooked and Cooked are proud to announce their unique Christmas creation 'The Christmas Munchie Box'.
Working closely with the The Arran Butcher we are able to offer a delicious treat for all our customers.
The 'Christmas Munchie Box' contains the following Arran beer battered festive foods:
... Pigs in blankets, sage and onion stuffing balls, spiced apple and cranberry stuffing balls, turkey slices and of course chips!
Starting tomorrow ( Saturday the 16th ) at 4pm, you can treat yourself to our festive delights at the Chippy in Brodick. But be warned, this delicious dinner is only available until the New Year!

Dear Customers With a sad heart and an empty wallet we would like to announce that the van will not be operating this week either. We are waiting for a part from Italy for the fryer and it looks like the Italians are not the fastest shippers in the world. We hope to have it back on the road next week but there are no guarantees. We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused and please don't forget to pay us a visit at the shop when your fish and chip cravings arrive.

We have had loads of fish suppers from Hooked and Cooked and can honestly say that they have never failed to be anything other than delicious. The chips are always crispy on the outside and lovely and soft in the middle, the fish is always fresh and very tasty and covered in lovely light and crispy batter.

Rarely do I leave feedback on anywhere I eat, but today I feel it justifies it. I have just eaten what I can confidently state was the best fish and chips I have ever had. The fish must have been well over an inch thick, and the chips were melt in the mouth and buttery. Just perfect!!! Well done guys �

HEY GUYZ DUNNO WHAT YOU DID WITH THE FISH LAST NITE...................BUT IT WAS YUMMY AND JUMBO SIZE, WEE BIT OILY!! BUT TASTED FABBY!! WHY DON'T YOU OPEN UP A WEE RESTUARANT NOW THAT THE PLACE NEXT DOOR IS UP FOR GRABS!! WE COULD ALL SIT DOWN AND EAT IN WHILE WATCHING THE FERRY COME AND GO!! MURIELLE,MARSHA, AND SEBASTIEN XXX

Got to say the chips recently and quality has increased so much better don't know what your doing compared to last year but I like it keep it up. Also nice to see boxes keeping the food fresh good work guys

Brilliant fish and chips, right by the pier and perfect to take on the boat with you so no excuse not to get any! Fish was well cooked and thick and nice big fresh chips. Would 100% recommend.

Arrived just as guys were about to close for the night but they went out their way to cook us two fish suppers. Couldn't fault either the fish or chips - absolutely delicious. Best chippy chips I have ever had and ate more than I normally would as the chips were so good. Definitely will be back.

Very disappointed. Fish and chips were completely tasteless.

The fish was lovely, really nice batter. Chips were over cooked and ruined. Paid with a £20 and got one of the old £10 notes that can't be used in the shops anymore, so a needless trip to my bank to change it when I get home. Didn't notice until I had left the shop.
