Hope’s Garden is an award winning Complementary Therapy Clinic in the centre of Edinburgh specialising in Clinical Aromatherapy, Aromatherapy Massage and Pregnancy Massage.
Operating on a social enterprise model, our ethos is to make aromatherapy easily accessible across all sectors of society, to help improve the health and well-being of those in need in our city and surrounding area.
Full-price treatments available to the general public and generous donations to “A Touch of Hope”- Gifted Treatment Project help to support our work. We receive no external funding, so the generosity of those donating to the project is appreciated beyond words and truly makes a difference to individuals’ lives.
The clinic is owned and run by Angela Wells. She holds a BSc in Complementary Therapies from Napier University, Edinburgh, as well as a Diploma in Holistic Therapies and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Pregnancy Massage.
The story of Hope's Garden:
I moved to Edinburgh in 2001 and studied aromatherapy to degree level. Unfortunately, a series of stressful life-events then led to me suffering from depression. Aromatherapy and conventional medicine helped me recover and manage the symptoms. It is my belief that orthodox and complementary medicine should work together. I was lucky enough to have access to both, and support from friends, family, and the Methodist Church, where Hope's Garden is now based.
I was given love and support, and because of that, I was able to re-build my life. I want to give back what has been given to me, and it is my hope that, through Hope’s Garden, I am able to support others to manage their own well-being so they can lead happier, healthier lives.
