About Hpb Coo Palace

The Coo Palace, formerly known as the Corseyard Farm and Model Dairy, is a peculiar - as in unique- place; and we'll be looking to retain its quirkiness.

Hpb Coo Palace Description

We are delighted to report that planning permission has been granted for 24 cottages and apartments plus club facilities at the "Coo Palace", near Kirkcudbright in Galloway, our next development-but-one, close to the Scottish Borders.

The Coo Palace, formally (and formerly) known as the Corseyard Farm and Model Dairy, is a peculiar - as in unique - place; and we'll be looking to retain the site's quirkiness and charm, while (of course) creating the kind of comfortable, well appointed accommodation that our guests rightly expect.

As work speeds ahead at Coo Palace, we thought we’d start The Coo Palace Story right at the very beginning… with a glimpse into the rich history of this fascinating building. Although still far cry from the luxury holiday properties it will soon become, the building was actually originally built as grand accommodation of a completely different kind… a home for millionaire James Brown’s prize Belted Galloway cows! ‘The Vanishing’, starring #GerardButler, was filmed at a number of spots throughout #DumfriesAndGalloway in 2017 - the star caused quite a stir when he made an appearance in the local towns and villages. Killantringan, Mull of Galloway and Corsewall lighthouses were all featured in the film (all just over an hour from Coo Palace), which tells the true story of the unexplained disappearance of three lighthouse keepers more than 100 years ago. http://ow.ly/2O1D30ol2zX #Scotland #VisitScotland

Clience Studio -Angela Lawrence exhibits widely, as well as at her own gallery, in Scotland, throughout the year. Her different strands of work are connected by a love for nature and being outdoors. "I love the look of HPB Coo Palace - and I love Carrick - one of the places I paint most frequently in fact." Angela paints seascapes to landscapes, rocks to reflections, many examples of which you can find here: http://bit.ly/2yaqJ4h #hpbmoments #DumfriesandGalloway #Scotland
