We applied for mortgage with HSBC and was asked to provide documents to the bank so that they can photocopy them. We did it but the staff did not upload them to the correct place and we had to go back to the bank to do it all over again... it is a good idea to always ask for the name of the person who serves you.

Only one branch in the whole city and you drive all the way, pay for parking and technology limitations means you cant do your work and have to wait while they sort it out... and more over having only one machine for a particular service when there is only one branch in the whole city... what were they thinking

Located on corner of Buchanan Street and Argyle St the HSBC bank has prime location in this arty 1930s style building. Wide open space the bank offers wide range services. god customer care frendly service.

Unpleasant experience

14 July 2017. I went to this branch to open an account (a simple current account) with card.instead, They offered me the saving one! Their excuse was that I already have a current account with another bank so I’m not meeting their criteria, or something like that! The funny thing is that they told me if I’m thinking of closing my account with my current bank, my case might be considered! If that’s the branches strategy or the bank itself, it means a disaster, because I think everyone has the right to have more than one account. Such a good strategy is to gain more customers. I thought being on the top means smartness, but it looks like the situation here is different. So I left them and went to Barclays and opened an account there within minutes.

Got a call about few weird payments made with my card so they cancelled them as it had been stolen, the next day I went to solve it to the branch and met Sharon who spent 2 hours with me making calls to get back my money and my account, after all that It got solved and I din't lose any money. Great service.

The female manager in 2 buchannan street branch (can't remember her name) was so racist. I noticed she was so rude with foreigners and of course with me too.

SEEMED very organised and well run, in reality my paper work wasn't processed (forgotten about) and was left sitting for 2 weeks waiting for account to be formed before having to go back and start all over again.

Worst costumer service ever.
Very very far appointments.
They didn't deal with humanity.

I love HSBC, everything works, it's very secured, very straightforward, the staff is very responsive and competent. It's never been that easy to deal with a bank. The Buchanan St branch is a perfect example of it.
