Initial judging of the fantastic efforts of the very talented bakers and makers entered in the Parish Cup of Food has now taken place. But who will be the overall winner?? Head along to the KGS now to see the fantastic spread. Open to the public until 2pm.
Busy Saturday coming up this weekend (Saturday, 11 May) when earlier in the day (open to the public from 12 noon until 2pm) we will be heading along to the biennial Parish Cup of Food at KGS - which parish will you be supporting?! - and then between 6pm-8.30pm we're at the Kirkwall Town Hall as part of the Kirkness & Gorie Orkney Wine Festival - always a great night of good wine, food - and company. Tasters of our products - and an opportunity to buy at both events!
Our tasting partnership continues at the #visitscotland Kirkwall iCentre this morning. Choose to savour a tot of #scapadistillery whisky or some of #humesorkney Scapa smoked products. And it's not just for visitors, tasters are available for all!

A great way to start your Thursday - pop along to the VisitScotland Kirkwall iCentre on Castle Street for a taste of The Scapa Distillery whisky and some accompanying Humes Scapa smoked bites. Here all morning.
A very enjoyable afternoon had with the lovely Scapa ladies, Kirkwall VisitScotland iCentre staff and some delighted visitors who took the opportunity to sample some of the products on offer. Great partnership working - which we plan to do again next week!

Coming up this weekend - and earlier in the month than usual in order that you can get all of your locally produced food and goods ahead of Christmas - it's the Festive Farmers' Market! Humes will be heading along as usual with our range of smoked foods - perfect as part of your festive food offer - or as food hamper or gift ideas. We'll have hot soup to keep you cosy whilst you're Christmas shopping - or cold soup to take home and heat at your leisure. There'll also be a selection of our quiches - great for quick lunch, dinner or party food use - and also suitable for freezing! Lots happening at the market this weekend - the last market until February 2019 - so make sure you head along this Saturday to the Kirkwall Masonic Hall between 10am and 3pm. 🎄🎄❄️🎁❄️🎄
