Hundy Mundy Natural Burial Ground Description
Hundy Mundy Wood lies on the ridge of a hill between Mellerstain House and the Cheviots. The folly tower is built on an axis of symmetry that runs through the centre of Mellerstain and it's formal gardens stretching out towards the horizon to the south. The tower was built to focus the eye in the middle distance.
These days, Hundy Mundy Wood has been made available as a natural burial ground for those looking for something different from the cemetery of crematorium.

Our thanks to all who helped us today ( you know who you are ) Our team were brilliant getting all of the cars to right places and people directed up to the woodland. Also Police Scotland and Scottish Borders Council for their assistance in setting up the one way system and road signs. Thanks to local residents for their understanding during the funeral and Thomas Brown and Sons Funeral Director for their expert coordination.
