About Husky Tones

The Official Fan Page for Roots-Rock Duo HUSKY TONES.

Husky Tones Description

Husky Tones’ punk blues style favours the common rawness, simplicity and emotion shared between the punk and blues genres. Live it is delivered by the unique set up of a female drummer singer Victoria Bourne and guitarist Chris Harper. Their approach to punk blues mirrors what they love as audience members: inventive, individual and fully aware of tradition without being a slave to it.

Their songs have been played on national radio including BBC Radio Two playlists and international radio. 'Who Will I Turn To Now?' has been album of the week on radio stations in the USA, UK and Europe. They have been described as 'Artist to watch' in ION Indie Magazine USA with 'Momentum' as a featured video. They have built a reputation for intense live shows performing headline shows at places such as London’s 100 Club, Fiddlers Elbow and Blues Kitchen, Brighton’s Latest Bar, The Fleece in Bristol and national UK festivals.

'This is music for an old-fashioned dark rock club, where sweat and alcohol keep the walls moist. ' Alt Country. NL

'The duo Husky Tones weaves in an easy way a lot of heavy song with endearing ballads'. Keys and Chords. be

‘There are loose rules to Blues of course, but this band have just torn up the rule-book. ' Phil The Music Quill

'This is the raw, urban blues with attitude. ' 9 /10 Bluesdoodles

‘Victoria has serious pipes and seems effortlessly to rise above Chris's driving guitar riffs, often sparking some fabulous wall of sound moments. '
The Blues Man In The Hat

'Heavy, raw, but always melodic, Just like the previous album, attention is paid to fine texts' Rootstime. be

'Live they are a sensation' Music That Needs Attention

'This was a performance full of passion but there was nothing lacking technically, at no time was technique sacrificed to performance. ' Bristol 24 /7

You asked when the next Husky Tones Bristol gig would be we promised it would be a corker and here it is on Wednesday. Thank you so much all of you for helping make this a sold out gig welcoming the legend that is Cedric Burnside to Bristol. A once in a lifetime gig, it's gonna be electric. You'll all know what a Hill Country juke joint feels like on Wednesday night. Big love to you all. xx Massive thanks to Rupert Orton and PRB for making this possible.

This has come round so quick a dream for us to be playing with Cedric Burnside this Wednesday. Thank you to all of you who bought tickets to sell this out, we hoped it would. The atmosphere is going to be electric. A Hill Country juke joint atmosphere in the intimate The Louisiana packed out.

When we went to Raut Oak Fest in Germany last June one of the highlights was The Hooten Hallers and they're touring the UK at the moment supporting the Dead South. They're well worth going to see if you like your blues dirty and mean! They're in Bristol on Sunday 10th at the O2, we've got our tickets!
