Photography has filled me with purpose and joy, and taken me places I never thought I’d go. I have covered many special occasions from the births of new borns to engagements and weddings. I’ve shared laughs with families and couples through their special days and it’s always a pleasure to be a part of such amazing and memorable days. I’ve photographed charity events from mountain climbs to events to raise awareness for brain tumours.

I have never felt so blessed by photography as when I am photographing a wedding. To document the experience, the relationship of friends, families, and a couple beginning a new stage in their life, is an incredible feeling. Photographing a wedding feels like I’ve done something with lasting value. After years of shooting, I still find each one to be more exciting than the last, and try to make each one the best one that I’ve ever photographed.

My photography style is best described as modern, fresh, fun, and sometimes a little quirky. I prefer to let the events of the day unfold naturally and just be prepared to capture them as they happen. While I do give some direction from time to time, I strive to inject fun into my photography, creating unexpected compelling images. However, for the majority of the wedding, I stay in the background as a quiet observer, paying close attention for genuine and candid interactions. It is extremely important to me that the photographs I create at a wedding are both unique and artistic, and when seen collectively, tell the entire story of the day.

My background is in Fine Arts and Graphic Design, running my own design studio for over 5 years now and successfully working alongside large and small businesses, locally and internationally. My creative background helps me with my photography, giving me that creative edge when composing photos and capturing details others would normally overlook as well as the digital post processing and editing of images, incorporating unique techniques to give your images that fabulous look.
