How incredible does this look!? It's going to be amazing seeing this at The SSE Hydro from 11-13 May 2018.
We got a sneak peak earlier this month and the show is going to be sensational! The cars look beautiful, the drivers are so talented and the technology is unlike anything you'll have seen at a live event before.

What a fantastic event, a wonderfully diverse range of motorised vehicles and you could see/hear and smell them. They were built to move and so to see things like Group B rally, F1 and Hypercars being driven is the best thing.

The Peugeot 205 t16 rally car was my personal highlight, but a nice surprise was the Japspeed drift boys (what a show)

Who needs Goodwood festival of speed, we have our own Ignition Glasgow now.

I dont want to put any negatives or you could have done this comments as i thoroughly enjoyed the day and if it was the same next year would enjoy it again.

User

We had a great day out, arrived just after 10am and left at 5.40pm, long day but great.

Brilliant day, especially when you have a petrol head 16 year old lol. Some amazing vehicles and talented drivers, I even had a blast.

As a few people have said there are a few tweaks required, we had to go to the indoor show twice as the first time there were people standing in the passageway which meant you couldn't see everything that was going on! Tiered seating would have been better.

There wasn't a great deal of viewing areas outside either, if you didn't get to the barriers early you had no chance, a bit much to ask for extra money to sit in the grandstand which I have to say looked very empty! Should have been included in the general ticket price on a first come first served basis.

Well done on the first one in Glasgow.

User

Was a fantastic day, even though the weather was terrible. Loved japspeed and monster. Waited a while too see the f1 cars but was great. Bit disappointed that the red bull team and David coulthard wasn't there as the previous year he was, my 6 year old loves his f1 and that would have made his day to have seen a f1 car he was familiar with. And was hoping for a bit more stunt type action. But still had a fantastic day and will be there next year!

User

Totally AWESOME day out at Ignition Fest yesterday, experienced an actual Driftland joyride which was just brilliant fun, loved the stunts by Terry Grant & Co, amazing spectacle with rally cars driven by top rally legends including a certain Mr McRae and The Stig, and not to mention the drifting car battle courtesy of Team Japspeed and Monster Energy ! Add to that the indoor exhibition including 70 years of Ferrari and all the car & motorcycle clubs shows makes this an event not to be missed !

User

Petrolhead heaven loved it the past 2 years an absolute must

User

I had a great day. bought myself a ignite club ticket and stood behind the red bull stand which was the perfect position for me as my main purpose in going was to see David coulthard and the red bull cars. only minor issue was that I couldn't see the big screen for the laps but had an excellent view of the start of the parades

User

Hi all we are in the Scottish land rover stand we had pictures of land rovers hand drawn that were there to look at but one has been lifted by mistake please please can this be returned there was callendar on the table they were to be taken just not the drawings please share so that this picture can be early returned thank you

User

Had an amazing day, myself husband and two boys loved every minute of it. However my daughter not so much she did enjoy it but she found it difficult to see a lot of the live displays. We felt that there wasn't enough viewing space and if you didn't get to the barrier you had no chance. Felt that it would've been better to have a grandstand for general tickets instead of premier only. Saying that it was fantastic opportunity to see cars that you can only dream about and all in all a really brilliant day will definitely be back next year.

User

Amazing day! We loved it! Best day out in a while not very often you see a f1 car in the streets of Glasgow lol ❤️ got the VIP ignite tickets well worth the money as we got access to the pits, grandstand, free drinks snacks all day and lunch, best of all we got to meet and chat with the great legend David Coulthard and managed to get a photo and t shit signed but all the other shows were just amazing too specialy Shane Lynch and his crew will defo be back next year

User

Very good with slight improvements from last year. Bought ignite club tickets again and yes you get decent grandstand seats, official handbook free, lunch free and couple drinks, use of paddock to see the cars. I just feel for that price something else could be added. Maybe signed photo of drivers, sit in f1 cars lol

User

It was a great day I went with my husband and 2 kids and my only criticism is that most of the day was geared towards adults there were so many kids and even having a few rides or a go cart area would have made the day awesome also it was really difficult for the kids to see anything as the only seating came at an extra cost generally though it was a really good day just maybe think a little more about the kids xx

User

Much batter the 1st year as usual cutting costs all the time ! What happened to the JCB show ?

User

Last year was a whole lot better than this year & I was disappointed. Basically paid £30 to see some cars that I could have seen in a car show room. Plenty of old cars which I liked but was really lacking in bikes this year! Wasn't many cars you could sit in or bikes to sit on unlike last year & the events outside were far too spaced out and I didn't actually manage to see any of it cause it was far too long to hang about between sessions. I think the entry price needs sorted and I would love to see more cars with actual owners who take pride in their vehicle rather than businesses.

Has the potential to be amazing.

User

Disappointing this year, very little in the halls compared to last year. The grandstand outside was disappointing, smaller than last year so not enough room for everyone and those with disabilities had no chance of seeing due to a large crowd in a small area!

Was gutted the stunt show wasn't on this year also.

Luckily I was helping on a retailer stall so didn't need to pay to get in, but for those that were, definitely not value for money this year.

Needs improving for 2018.

User

motoring is my passion I help run a UK wide club and spend a lot of my spare time involved in such activities.

Firstly the administration price is nothing short of ridiculous, Myself, my partner and my friend turned up and it was £93 for 3 adult tickets that got you nothing but through the gate. All 3 of us spend most of what little money we have on our cars and £93 is a massive amount for 3 enthusiasts to pay out purely to look.

Secondly I would have liked to see more passionate stands with genuine people with their own cars like Tartan Tarmac and a bit less of Arnold Clarke (although seeing some new cars was fine) but we didn't need to pay £93 for Arnold Clarke to try selling me a fiat 500.

The outdoor stuff was very good although pretty hard to get a good vantage point there was some very nice cars and some very nice people on the stands.

for the money though you simply don't get enough (not even a show guide as you wanted another £3.50 for that)

Also I think behaviour of the public needs to be addressed at shows it never fails to amaze me how people let their children touch and lean on the cars. even when there's clear signage saying please don't touch. a lot of cars there will be somebody's pride and joy I know mine is, lots of time and money will have gone into them and it just shows a lack of respect.

overall not a bad show by any means but very very over priced.

User

We went on the sunday.havin to pay to get into show then havin to pay to see classic american cars..no danger we were paying again.wasnt much motorcycles on show.3 stunt guys on bikes indoors shouldve been outside with more room for them to perform..seated area outside should b first cum first seated not having to pay for that aswell.havin to watch on big screen isnt the same.shouldnt have had seated area.took up far to much room..BIG RIP OFF & wont b back & neither will a few people we spoke to for the same reasons..

User

Needs work. No one there seemed to know what was going on and when for the outdoor events.

Getting in to the event was an absolute joke! Big queue of people in a car park BUT people who hadn't bought a ticket were taken to the front of the queue and got in well before anyone who had bought a ticket online!!!

The weather couldn't be helped but the gaps between the shows was way too long.

The price. Don't get me started on the price! £29(online), can get 2 x trips to an SMRC meeting at Knockhill for that and they don't repeat the morning shows in the afternoon, plain lazy that I'm afraid!

User

Ignition was better last year by a mile dont get me wrong it was good but not as good like mind blowing good.

The main event show was poor compaired to last years

this year the granstand was split in 2 and moved to the sides? This was a terrible idea, we paid extra for the best seats while folk standing had where the granstand was last year had the best view?? They could see all the stunts etc face on while we seen the side?

So not a great view and wanted to hear the cars not music booming out of the speakers (can go to nightclubs for that)

The commentary was good/interesting but too much talking utter nonsense

Not nearly the same amount of cars on track as last year a lot of time wasting chat...

Let us see and hear the cars!!!

I understand that the weather didn't help with things and we still had a great day however being both years i thought id point out it had nothing on last year and

Definitely think its more about profits this year less cars more sales type things

The driftland area was great

Some of the stands were great

Ferrari area was great

Show was very disappointing

Please next year turn off the music and some chat and turn on the Ignition!!

User

Disappointed with this show. Too many new cars - should have more owners clubs etc. Minis and others left outside, should have been in the main hall.

Live show dragged on too long and Lee McKenzie was awful-if she mentioned once she was involved in F1 and presented F1 once she must have said 100 times. Don't ask her back.
