I'Mperfect Quilts

I offer gifts, quilts, wallhangings, recycling old fabric /clothes into treasured soft furnishings, furniture restoration /painting.

I'mperfect quilts is dedicated to my love of quilting and my fabulously imperfect family and life. Quilting is normally associated with perfection and precision, but in my experience, finished and imperfect is preferable to perfect but nowhere close to finished. (That doesn't mean I haven't got about six unfinished projects in the cupboard! ) If you take a magnifying glass or a tape measure to my work you'll find plenty to criticise; the edges may all be different lengths, the seams won't always match up precisely, even the fabrics may be slightly off as I tend to use what I have available when gripped with the need to create! But as my Granny would have said, "A blind man running for his life won't notice that". So, here's to perfectly imperfect quilts, that look great anyway, and do exactly what they were created to do. I look forward to sharing my ideas with you.
