Imperial cottage is a former distillery Grade B listed building situated in the peaceful village of Carron, four miles away from Aberlour. Surrounded by open fields and pine forests, it provides an ideal opportunity for families and friends to explore the picturesque walks along the River Spey and the Speyside Way. This can take the the enthusiastic walker /mountain biker to the Moray coast in one direction and the impressive Cairngorm mountains and Aviemore in the other with the opportunity to enjoy the fantastic scenery and wildlife.

Only 25 miles from the Moray coast and 35miles from Aviemore, imperial Cottage provides an ideal base and location to enjoy the beautiful say and pebble beaches of Lossiemouth, Findhorn and Spey Bay, famous for dolphin, seal and bird watching.
Aviemore on the other hand has fabulous ski runs in winter with mountain biking, trout fishing, sailing and canoeing, clay pigeon shooting, river rafting and quad biking throughout the year. Situated near to Aviemore, the visitor can also enjoy Landmark Forrest Park with its water slides and adventure playground. Visit The Scottish Wildlife Park famous for its polar bears, tigers, monkeys, wolves, Scottish wildcats and bison. this park has both drive and walk areas.

Nearby Aberlour provides a number of local amenities including a small supermarket, a number of cafes and coffee shops, restaurants, pharmacy, petrol station, gift shops, deli and cash machines. There is a great adventure playground for children.
Elgin, only twenty miles away, offers larger supermarkets, shops, a small cinema, swimming, ice skating and ten pin bowling.
Aberlour distillery is one of many distilleries along the Speyside Whisky Trail. Many of which have fantastic visitor centre with daily tours.
