The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has updated its latest statistics on workplace safety, and they make for scary reading as workplace illness and injuries remain a major problem for the UK. In honour of Halloween, RoSPA have put together a 'scary' infographic to give you all the key facts:

Manual Handling causes over a third of all workplace injuries, currently affecting one million people every year. This has a major impact on all workplaces and it is estimated that around 8.3 million working days are lost annually due to work-related musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). Such injuries are easily sustained when using poor manual handling techniques and these can be life changing in their severity.

We have produced a diagram that we hope will help as an easy reference tool for identifying the differences in the course content between the 3-Day First Aid at Work and the 1-Day Emergency First Aid at Work.

Due to the high demand for our CITB ConstructionSkills Health & Safety Awareness courses this month, we have set a date for a subsequent course in December, to be delivered at our Training Centre in Denny.
