Absolutely beautiful food. I came here accidentally since this restaurant was the first place I could find with my hungry stomach. But I dare say this is the best indian restaurant that I've ever experienced.

Very expensive and food was not tasty. Poor service with long waiting times. The cutlery kept on the table was dirty and had residue of older food on it.

Home away from home, One of the best Indian food serving plances you can get in UK

We ordered a vegeterian platter and mixed kebab platter which had chicken, mutton kebabs. The paneer tikka and chicken tikka had artificial food colors added to it. We also ordered popadums with chutney. To our dissapointment, it came with only one piece of popadum(for £1.25) which wasn't warm at all. After which we ordered a vegeterian biryani, which didn't taste or smell anything of biryani, it was just a simple pulav which was overcharged (for £11) with a fake name tag. This place is overcharged.

Had an excellent meal here this evening; great food and good service. I'd recommend the tandoori rainbow trout which was fresh, delicious and great flavours. I've spent three weekends in Inverness now over the course of the last few years and this is by far the best eatery here I've found so far.

I was in Inverness 3 weeks ago, Inverness was welcoming me with a huge UK weather tantrum. Big big down pour and we have no place to hide, we ducked under the small covered area in front of Indian Ocean restaurant, they weren't open but the owner let us in to stay dry, very welcoming. Offered us chairs to sit and stay as long as we needed. We did not have a chance to try out their food as we were only there for the day with cruise ship. The place was clean & tidy, owner was kind and polite, I would have no problem eating there.
