Indie Authors World Description
Writing can be a lonely occupation, Indie Authors was started to provide a way for self published authors to learn new skills, share their knowledge, develop self confidence and build a community that can help promote one another.
Who is behind Indie Authors World ?
Sinclair Macleod, successful indie author crime writer of Reluctant Detective and Russell and Menzies mysteries. Kim Macleod, author, coach and creator of Scotland's Happiness Day.
How did you get into this?
We describe Indie Authors as our accidental business because it started when so many people asked Sinclair how he had produced and sold his books - 7 crime books with over 100, 000 sales that we realised that we could help other writers to self publish.
SInclair does everything for his books himself except print them - with a great (and quite rare) mix of creative and technical skills. So we developed a training programme to teach others how to do it too.
Kim's background in NLP and positive psychology was added to the mix to help with confidence and self belief. The Bookcamp online programme grew from there.
