Took my cat here today intending an eight day stay..... I looked around and took my cat straight back home!
Dreadfully, grim and depressing cat enclosures.
The whole place is old and very rundown.
The girl on reception was a delight... really pleasant and polite.
She did the paperwork first then her team leader took over to house my cat.... I asked if I could see where my cat was to be housed and somewhat reluctantly the guy agreed. Thank goodness I did. The pens were cold, draughty, dark and uninviting. Extremely small litter trays and bedding.
I couldn't let my pet stay there. As a large house cat ( Maine coon ) he would have been cramped and miserable.
My advice to anyone considering leaving there pets here, is to visit the site first and check out the conditions.

I have always found the staff extremely helpful. My cat has to get regular medication unfortunately. The cattery staff just took this in their stride caring for him and his medication. That's real service, I can't rate them highly enough.

We have used Ingliston for 10 years and have always found them to be helpful, flexible and to take good care of our dogs. The staff know and remember our dogs names when we return, and the dogs always seem quite happy to be going there. It's handy for the airport. It's not the swishest or most glamorous set of buildings (hence 4/5), but the care and service has always been great.

We've used Ingliston kennels over many, many years for our dogs (usually 2, staying together in the one kennel) and I'm really, really surprised by the negative reviews above. The staff are always efficient and friendly and anytime we’ve gone through to the kennels themselves – and we’ve always been welcome to do so – they’ve been spotless. We’ve never experienced problems with late pickups, but of course staff can’t be expected to stay on duty outwith the time agreed at the time of booking. Not all dogs like being left with strangers or being away from their usual environment but any problems that arise can’t simply be attributed to the kennels. I know the Ingliston staff spend extra time with dogs who don’t settle in easily and do their best to try to feed up any who go off their meals when pining for their owners.

I can only speak of our own many experiences, but all of our dogs have always gone in wagging their tails and come out looking fit, happy and healthy. They’re always pleased to see us on our return, but they're equally keen to welcome any staff they meet on their way out. When we tell them to 'be good' when we drop them off, the staff gently chide us and remind us that the dogs are going on their holidays too - a viewpoint we really appreciate as it seems to me to reflect not only how they see their role but also how much they really do like dogs. I can’t recommend Ingliston too highly. Each time we go off, we know that we’ll come back to happy, well-looked-after dogs.
