About Inquisitive Systems

Inquisitive Systems is an Edinburgh based company that aims to rapidly become a world leader in building information security software. Inquisitive Systems is a spin-out from Edinburgh Napier University. It started trading in September 2010 after being founded by Dr Jamie Graves in 2008. The company has developed an innovative data security software product called ZoneFox. The core company IP, foxDNA (which forms part of the ZoneFox product), was developed by Dr Graves over the duration of a post-graduate project into an improved system for digital forensic investigations. After successfully securing a Scottish Enterprise Proof of Concept grant, the company further developed the foxDNA technology for commercial deployment. This ultimately led to the company's first sales in 2012 and successful deployment of ZoneFox's innovative solution to market. With funding sourced from the Scottish angel community, including Archangel and Tri-cap, the organisation has been able to accelerate further development and growth to provide a scaleable, cross sector security solution that assists in the protection of a company's core assets – their data and Intellectual Property.
