As a former head of PE and Assistant head teacher responsible for teaching and learning, I understand what outstanding PE looks like and I am passionate about helping colleagues develop their practice and maximising opportunities for student participation and competition in school sport. I have seen through my own experiences the impact high-quality PE provision has on young people's health and fitness, their well-being, self-esteem, and confidence. I have also seen the impact it has whole school and the positive benefits it creates for both staff and pupils.
