We are delighted to say that our first charity challenge - the ‘Zip Slide across the Clyde’ – at the weekend was a huge success and Sam completed her adventure across the river with ease! A great contribution to our overall fundraising target for Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS). We’re just back from the most amazing stay at this beautiful hotel. Our room was perfect, the staff were exceptional and went above and beyond to cater to our every need, even booking us a last minute dinner reservation for Hogmanay, and the whole experience was just excellent from start to finish. As a gym user, we were also extremely impressed with the well stocked hotel gym, and extras such as little tuck boxes in the rooms and Elemis spa products.





We will definitely be returning to stay here again when we next visit the city!

We stayed at the Principle last week for two nights as a birthday surprise for my boyfriend. Amazing outstanding hotel friendly and helpful staff beautiful room clean and tidy. Special little touches in the room a birthday cake and note.

We stayed at the Principal this weekend for my friends wedding. I honestly can't rate this hotel and its staff highly enough, they were all so friendly and professional - nothing was too much trouble! Not only were our rooms and the service amazing but it was also by far the best, most well organised wedding I've ever been too! If you're currently looking for an amazing Scottish wedding venue then look no further! The award winning events team at the Principal George street will go above and beyond to ensure all your requirements are met on your special day ���

Our latest stay was exceptional. The Hotel team were very attentive , warm and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble.



We stayed in one of the suites, which we found to be very relaxing, warm and cosy too.



We also dined in their restaurant. I have to say the the standard of cuisine ws much better than I expected. The waiter that served us was great. We chose a wine that was out of stock, but he quickly came back with some alternatives , that were not in the list.



Overall, great stay, great staff.

This was a first for #Scotland's #PremierWeddingMC officiating at a Wedding in the Principal George Street in our Nations capital. From front of house to back of house all staff were outstanding. Extremely highly recommended for any aspiring Brides, Grooms & Same Sex couples wishing to utalise a classy joint for your special day/night.

This is what you want to experience! From the minute you enter till the minute you leave this is a 5 star experience. The waitress was friendly and helpful, she explained the menu to us and options available and what Jacqueline would be able to order as she is Coeliac. Our main course was superb and i had a delicious baked alaska for sweet!

The most wonderful welcome from the staff on reception, nothing too much trouble, very professional. It was my wife's 60th and there was a welcome card in the room with a bottle of wine, a lovely touch. The concierge staff are the best I have come across anywhere in the world and I travel around the world regularly for work. I will be returning soon.Well done everyone.

Stopped here with my husband for 2 nights. Just checked out and wanted to say this hotel is 5* all of the staff are so polite and helpful! The room was amazing and the complimentary drinks and tuck box are a great touch.

Stayed here a week ago when our friends’ incoming flight was delayed. Came back after St. Andrews, were bumped 8nto the most AMAZING two room suite! Love l💕 ve this place! The staff is beyond wonderful. Everything about this place is tops.

My wife and I had our wedding here last week and we definatley had the best day of our lives !!! This was all thanks to Oskar and his team at the hotel!! He has been amazing this whole year when we have been planning our special day and on the day Oskar and Camile were amazing at keeping us both calm and making sure we didn't see each other on the run up to the ceremony. We felt like nothing at all was a bother to any of the staff and even when my little nephew fell and hurt his mouth the day before they came to the room to check on him and the concierge service was amazing too. The little touches in the room for the children was amazing and my 4 year old neice was so happy with her little toys. The breakfast in the hotel was really lovely and we had our own private room for our guests the day after which was amazing. All our guests have and still are commenting on how great the day was and how beautiful the hotel is. We would very highly recommend this venue to anyone getting married in the future and oskar as a wedding coordinator. Thanks again to you all for making our day extra special we really appreciate everything xxxx

My daughter won a voucher for a 3 course meal for two in a raffle at Charlie Millers Awards night and took me, mummy. Meal was excellent, staff superb, as soon as we walked in we were made to feel very welcome by a lovely lady and another who took us to our table. Our waiter was very attentive, I wish I could remember his name, as he gave excellent menu recommendations and we thoroughly enjoyed the choices. The house wine was superb. 5star all round - We will be back very soon.

Lovely hotel in a great location! Was a perfect way to end a great vacation! The Burr coffee shop and the restaurant were also very good! Try a cocktail at The Printing Press!

Excellent wedding breakfast for Haley & Nikki, the new Mr & Mrs Forrest! Compliments to the Executive Chef and his team for an amazing meal! Also the hospitality staff were efficient in their service!

Can’t recommend this hotel enough. Stayed here on Wednesday night after being stranded in Edinburgh with the snow. The staff were so kind and helpful, the restaurant was excellent and the room was so comfortable. Staff really went over and above.

As I think about my blessings this Thanksgiving I count staying at the Principal as one of them. My daughter and I were on a tour of Scotland and had the pleasure of staying at your hotel. As we were walking back from dinner one evening, I missed a step, fell and fractured my ankle. Our tour was leaving in the morning for the Highlands. Your hotel was fully booked but somehow you provided us with a room until we could get on a return flight home. Your staff was amazing! They were extremely supportive and compassionate! Special thanks to Steven, Peter, Carlos and Francois! Your team went above and beyond and represented Scotland well. I would highly recommend the Principal to anyone visiting Edinburgh.

Witnessed the hilarious faulty towers experience here yesterday. Meal was delicious & staff were very helpful-only complaint was young bar staff were a little out of touch professionally
