Inveraray Castle Tea Room
Reviews
The tea room had delicious soup and coffee. Enjoyed grabbing a quick bite after our castle tour.
A nice manor house, not really a castle. The exhibits are more or less of the Duke of Argyl's personal family heirlooms. Sometimes it was a bit too personal - family photos and such. Very little historical information. More of a tour of the rich and famous.
We had a Scottish guide here who was very knowledgeable and friendly which was a welcome change after all the foreign guides in Edinburgh. Wonderfully fresh home-baked currant scones with Tea to finish off the visit in the wee castle tearoom - would go back just for the scones. The castle was beautifully maintained and you saw some of the life of the Family still living there.
Nice castle with surprising interiors.
