They say a watched pot never boils. Well an unwatched progress bar will fail after 7 minutes, but if you do watch it it will run ok for 11 hours. This is quite literally what I'm having to do at the moment. Check a progress bar every 5 minutes on the off chance that it may fail some point into it's 11 hour run. YAY! Career in IT!

I've been installing Server 2012 R2 on HyperV. If you are doing the same and have product key activation issues - like I have had for the last 2 hours - try upping the RAM from the default 512Mb and disable the NIC - one of those 2 seems to be doing the trick.
