Another job completed today in Edinburgh. 2 simple horizontal style railings that finishes off the customers entrance to front door perfectly. We also made a funky fan cover using a half hollow sphere, all work was finished galvanised. A very happy customer 😁

Very busy times at iron design HQ with alot of unique and exciting jobs ahead in the next few months. Today we were working locally in Glenrothes fitting driveway gates with previously fitted railings with small gate. The large driveway gates r fitted with stunning cedar wood slats and finished with a coat of decking oil, also with 2 slip bolts and lock for security and privacy. All galvanised and powder coated satan black.

We have just finished fitting another job in Edinburgh today. A set of driveway gates and a side gate with a simple but effective wavey design with our trademark handmade and hand painted thistles throughout design. Also a number plaque with fusion glass giving it a unique and stunning finish. We also did 3 handrails in back garden.

The beautiful beast goin in her new home 🐲👌

Our latest masterpiece has just been fitted in Limekilns. Our customer wanted a full scale dragon for her garden, to be placed up a tree and we have a very happy customer.
This magestic and stunning beast sits proudly in her new home watching over Limekilns.
... Alot of work went into creating this special piece of art, from making all body parts separately and bringing her to life. Over 1000 scales cut and welded one by one to give her a beautiful finish. We then used coppers, bronzes and browns spray paint to give her a unique shade throughout the body and finished with different coloured fusion glass and specialy made glass eyes.

Our latest job, just completed in Edinburgh is a unique and old style stair railing.
Our customer came to us with the hope of restoring the original old Style spindles to complete their staircase. Each spindle had to be specially moulded to create the exact replica of the existing old railing to keep that unique style flowing throughout their house.
... Each spindle was fitted one by one and welded to a 20x6mm flat bar, (all finished in a satan black) which will then be fitted with a very stylish wooden handrail to complete a perfect restoration job.
A happy customer indeed.

Today we were in paisley fitting this very unique stair railing, a one of a kind bespoke design with 4 large thistles and 2 small Scottish style swords with 2 small coat of arms with the rampant lions.
Powder coated in satan black with thistles highlighted in silver, green and purple for a stunning finish.

Another job completed today are two stair railings with a simple horizontal design, powder coated in graphite grey with an American white oak handrail on top (with bull nosed finish at ends) to give our customers house that something special.

At iron design HQ we have been working continuously on a very special job that we know is close to alot of people's hearts.
Fife Council approached us with the idea of having a memorial bench made to mark 100 years since the end of world war 1.
This memorial bench commemorates WW1 1914-1918. The design we have created resembles "no man land", where British troops used BARBED WIRE to ward off any attacks on men in the trenches.... We also made a detailed replica of WW1 tank, ship, submarine and plane and the symbolic silhouette of a soldier remembering a fallen comrade. We also incorporated poppy's and thistles into our design. Everything u see is all handmade, galvanised and powder coated in a graphite grey.
It has been an honour and a pleasure for us to be part of something so meaningful and that will stand for years to come. We will always remember all soldiers from past to present who gave their lives for this country.

We have just fitted another stunning railing today for a customer in Edinburgh.
This flowing tree railing with our own bark-like feature throughout also has our own interpretation of the 'gaudi' leaves, giving it a very unique and abstract design. We also made and fitted a box section frame staircase and 3 brackets fitted under floor for our floating glass.
... This job is part completed as we have yet to fit 30mm white frosted toughened glass treads and landing at a later date but we have a very happy customer.
