Islay Ales

The brewery was hard to locate, the young tall guy behind the counter was very uninterested and huffed when we asked to sample a beer. The beers are ok however you are left feeling guilty and tend to buy some due to this. The cedement within the dark bottles that we poured into glasses later on was thick and left a small sludge, this is stated as non filtered so its expected however just a heads up.

Didn't know this place was here until it was mentioned by a distillery tour guide!
Didn't do a tour but chatted to the brewer who was friendly and explained a lot...and gave us several tastings!
Picked up a stack of bottles between us and have enjoyed them a lot since we got back home.
Well worth visiting.

Great ales. I highly recommend going for some batch that was aged in casks from some Islay distillery and also buying one such whisky. Really interesting experience for Islay whisky lovers.

Nice to see a small brewery supply the island - and many of their beers are really good too. Friendly staff as well. Always one of my first stops when I'm on Islay.

Personnel charmant, dégustation possible et à la carte.

Very friendly staff who went out their way to help and keep a hold of something i purchased until i could get there.

The ales are good and worthy of trying something different.
