Islay Car Hire

Yep...Scott is from the Campbell's ..ripped us of for petrol...we noted the car had 3/4 full of fuel..when we pointed this out he said it's ok bring it back with that amount... of coarse we did! And he shafted us £18 extra. When we complained he pointed out that it was a little over 3/4 full when he gave us the car... it's a Corsa Scott not a Mercedes..it takes £40 to fill the thing up...after reading the revues I strongly suggest you give this Highland dancer ( chancer) a miss....if he does this to every rental he'll be making a nice little sum...it's the principle Scott... put the money back in our account thanks

Excellent service offered by Scott and his team! We arrived by ferry in the evening and the car was at the dock on time and ready to go for our adventures on Islay. They made us feel welcome and explained where to go on the island which led us to one of the best views and beaches at Ardnave. Scott was available by phone when we had any questions and went out of his way to help us. It was a pleasure learning about Islay and Jura from a local and supporting their business. Friendly Service from Scott, although we had a delay at Glagow Airport.
We informed them by mail about the delay and that's it. When we arrived Scott fulfilled the details of our contract, asked us, where we had booked B&B and offedred us a nice!! car. Thanks for Your patience. Can't imagine, that anybody is "rude" on this Island. Will book again when we are back on Islay.

At very short notice following a clutch failure, Islay Car Hire came up with a vehicle for me. It was clean, tidy and fully serviced ready to go, and at a very good price. The proprietor couldn't have been more helpful phoning mechanics to try and arrange repairs to my car, and happy to collect his car from the ferry terminal on my departure morning. I can wholeheartedly recommend this service, it's 5 stars from me!
