I'm a regular DIY'er and used to shop regularly in B&Q. Then I discovered JKM...The service is fantastic, all you do is wait your turn.
The guys help with all sort of tips and advice, plus you get a laugh as the atmosphere is so family orientated and very Customer focused.
I needed half a sheet of plasterboard once, and they just gave me it for free as it wasn't a full sheet!! Try getting service like that in B&Q.

I have used JKM for several projects over the years and have always found their advice invaluable. All staff I have dealt with have been very knowledgeable and happy to spend time sharing that knowledge. They have made several doors for me and the quality is always excellent. I would highly recommend JKM to anyone.

Great service really helpful staff. Timber was cut down to go in my car and gave good building advice thanks.

My experience is the total opposite to 1st reviewer, being in the trade a good number of years, knowing that it takes time for any timber to be cut to size, giving notice is the most sensible way to go and making sure cutting orders are not given near to closing time. Plus best way to get the correct information is to go into the company with the order as sometimes advice can be given that you maybe have not thought of. I have been using JKM for many years and they are probably the only merchant that still talk to their customers, I have always found them very friendly and helpful. I contacted JKM and told them about the first review they had and was told the circumstances surrounding it and it is just unfortunate that there are people who don't understand the trade and how it works with cutting services etc Carry on doing what you do JKM as businesses like yours are not easy to find.
