n the classes that I offer, I don't teach fine art. It's not what I believe art is about. I teach fun, interesting techniques that can be used in many different ways. My workshops are loosely structured to begin with a meditation and some journaling followed by a day of painting, coffee, good food, and connection. My students always leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated with a piece of art that they can be proud of. I have some who come back each month for their 'me day' - a day just for themselves. Every time they return, I love seeing how they've healed and grown. I know art and creativity can build confidence, grow character and teach strategies for relaxation and purpose, because I see it every day in my students and in myself.
