There is only one cure for the Monday blues, and that's a hot tasty supper from Jakis!

We are now based in Muir of Ord on Seaforth Road, and no longer trade from Fortrose or Invergordon. We would like to thank all our loyal customers from over the years, and we hope to see you soon.

Years and years since me and ma boab had such a delicious fish supper....nothing nearly as good where we live. Well done x

Will be back there tonight for a great fish supper

On 8 July, at the start of our holiday, we visited your shop in Fortrose, queue was out the door yet your staff dealt with the customers welcoming and calmly, and behind the counter a hive of activity, everyone knowing their job and getting orders out quickly and efficiently. Fantastic food which was still piping hot on arrival at our holiday cottage approx. 10 minutes from Fortrose. On 9 July, we went to Channonry Point and were welcomed once again by friendly staff at your ice cream van. Asking where we came from and were we enjoying our holiday as well as great service and tasty ice cream. Excellent service all round however we were totally blown away by the kindness of one of your delivery drivers on the evening of 13 July (around 11.00pm) when my husband and I were on our way back to our Holiday cottage from being at A&E at Raigmore and were approx 5 mins from Tore when we pulled over to allow a vehicle to overtake, this vehicle (we didn't know it was one of your vans) didn't overtake but stopped alongside us and the man asked if everything was OK and did we need any help. Your staff should be highly commended for their work ethic, care for others and all round customer care . AWESOME

Ok so normally I love this chippy in the muir however Friday past my mum and dad finished work about 8pm decided bugger it we will go to chippy it's shut at 9pm it was already shut this was now only 8pm staff there cleaning dad trying to get their attention, for them to completey ignore him didn't even look in his direction! Will be placing order tomorrow night to be picked up after 8pm so I hope you are open this time if not business will have to go elsewhere.

My other half picked up a fish supper last week, best fish I have had in a long time, no doughy batter like I have had from other chippies definately going back �

My favourite fish n chip shop ever. For quality food. But order a larger size than you would anywhere else cause portions are not big and phone your order in or you could be waiting a lengthy time as their busy.

Love Jakis in Muir! It is always fantastic, fresh, good offers, staff are smiley and the place is always spotless! Thanks everyone x

Excellent service with a smile. Delicious chicken fillets : ) jumbo fish was like a whale. Value for money for the food and the banter

By far the best fish and chips! I almost couldn't eat the jumbo portion for it was so huge!!

Awesome fish and chips. Best in the area. Really tasty, no grease and massive portions. I had the superb 'jumbo' supper and now feel like I'm going to give birth to a whale! Brilliant!

A huge thank you to Lorraine for sorting out large order. Our American visitors really enjoyed the fish and chip experience!

The food was excellent.

The fish itself is lovely, full of taste, so are the chips. Only thing negative to say is that the portions used to be bigger. For a jumbo fish and chips like I got, I'd hate to see how many chips are in a regular. I'd say unless your a child then everyone go for the jumbo fish n chips.

The food is great but compared to last week the portions size is half, what's going on? I'll tell you I could normally not finish it but I could had double the portion size and just about satisfied. If the portion size is like this again I won't be back.

Visited your chip shop at 7.10pm last night to be told you had run out of chips and were not taking anymore orders!! Not something I have every heard from a chip shop especially on a week night so early in the evening!!!!!

Got a haggis supper tonight and to say I was disappointed. The batter wasn't even done properly and only half the haggis had batter which is a disgrace for what you pay also the prices they charge for supper and to only get a small amount of chips, my 2 year old son had more chips in his kids supper. Won't be back again.

Not impressed tonight (Thursday 13 October). Before phoning in my order for me to collect, I checked Jaki's website to see what the special of the week was as it's usually cheaper than other options. I was delighted to read that it was sausage supper, because that's what I usually order so I was pleased to be getting it a bit. It wasn't until I had paid for my that I realised that the weekly special advertised was nothing to do with sausages. Having deliberately chosen the sausage supper because it was the cheap option, I wasn't happy to find I had to pay full price. I didn't bother mentioning it in the shop because my food was ready and I was too hungry and tired to argue and wait for more food to be cooked. Plus, the guys behind the counter probably had no idea what special was on the website, so there would have been no point in complaining to them.



While I'm at it, if a driver is going to do an illegal move by driving over the pavement on the corner outside the Tarradale Hotel to avoid having to wait a couple of minutes for the lights to change then give me dirty looks for not reversing to let her off the pavement, it's best not to do it in a van with Jaki's written all over it. Breaking traffic laws is best done in a vehicle slightly less identifiable.

How can it take 25 mins for a sausage supper? Yes there was 10 people in front me.

But they all ordered sausage suppers � organised chaos.

Also how is curry on top the chips not a option ?

Paying £1:65 for a tub when I only want a splash...

I'll not be going back.

Having been before and expected a long wait. We were served fairly sharpish but on opening our fish suppers we discovered old chips that hadn't even been reheated, straight from the hot top. Dry and disgusting!! Our very small fish was dripping in oil so the batter was totally inedible. If we hadn't been nearly home before I checked I would have taken it back and thrown it at them. What a rip off!!
