Jedburgh Camping And Caravanning Club Site Description

A peaceful haven in the Scottish Borders.

If you’re wanting to explore the Scottish Borders or on the way to or from Scotland, our Jedburgh Club campsite is the ideal stop off. Located close to the pretty border market town of the same name, this campsite is also perfect for walkers.

Jedburgh is a small campsite – just fifty pitches – catering for all types of camper including backpackers. Tent campers have their own separate tree-lined, level area and there is a recreation field beyond. Facilities include toilets, showers, laundry and a wash up area.

There’s a lovely riverside walk into town, if you’re lucky you may spot some of the local bird and wildlife. Once in Jedburgh you can follow a two-mile historic town trail which takes in some of the local landmarks – Jedburgh Castle Jail, Queen Mary’s House and Bonnie Prince Charlie’s House.

More seasoned walkers will enjoy the campsite’s proximity to St Cuthbert’s Way and the Borders Abbey Way. Jedforest Deer and Farm Park just south of Jedburgh as well as lots of animals to see, has a falconry centre and a wooded adventure playground. Jedburgh is also handy for visiting more border towns including Duns, Kelso, Coldstream and Galashiels.

The 250 square mile Keilder Water and Forest Park is a short drive away, offering a range of activities including walking, cycling, star gazing, sailing and canoeing. Jedburgh is also ideal for anyone wishing to experience the unique common ridings – a spectacular display of horsemanship commemorating the centuries old patrolling of the border country.
