Sunday can be the day that throws off someone's whole week. It's often the day we move the least yet feel the need to eat the most, due to either boredom or hangover recovery fuel. Adjust your calories in response to your activity. If you know you won't be expending much today, don't over do it and over consume on tasty treats. Check your day, check your activity and make some good choices :) happy Sunday fam!

A big piece of anyone's fitness journey is the psychological. Changing how we think about ourselves and our abilities is all part of the parcel. Sure, helping someone change their physique is quite obviously a massive part of what this job entails. In addition to that, hanging someone's thoughts and beliefs regarding what they can and cannot do is another piece altogether. With that in mind, I'd like to round of this post by congratulating my client Heather Riddickulous for t...urning up to a circuit class and absolutely smashing it. We have talked about them before but Heather had seemed nervous or apprehensive. I think she may even have surprised herself. She showed great grit and determination and also demonstrated that she can do a lot more physically that I think she even knew. Hoping she'll start recognising how bad ass she is and that I'm not just saying that :) πŸ€™ well done Heather, room packed full of people and you looked as comfortable as anyone can after several rounds of torture πŸ˜‚

These machines can be whack at times but if you weigh yourself on one thing it's good to stick to the same thing for consistency. My client hasn't shrunk, don't be alarmed.
Clients smashing this month by losing 5lbs! This is the bit I love, seeing the hard work in and out of the gym paying off. You get out what you put in :)

Client Heather absolutely nailing some food prep. With a weird work schedule and a dislike for eating in the AM we had a few obstacles to navigate but Heather used her own initiative and after some discussion has started to implement prepping so that she makes better choices when at work and gets all her cals in throughout the day!

Also killing it with our thrusters. DΓ³ra is a volleyball player so this is an ideal movement for her on court as well as just do r overall strength development. Pushing 17.5kg with ease and showing off with some pretty awesome back definition for good measure. You get what you work for and dΓ³ra gives it everything she has every session.

My client dΓ³ra finishing up her first four week block. Stronger across all lifts, increased stamina and killing it in the gym! Just the beginning! 40kg for 4 x 10. Smashed it!

It's Friday folks and with the weekend about to kick off people start to dream of the long lies, late lunches and weekend takeaways. Unfortunately, most people go so hard at the weekend that they completely cancel out all the hard work they have done throughout the week with their diet and exercise protocols. So rather than negate all of that, simply enjoy your weekend but within your calorie goals. If you know that you're 100% going to tackle a munchie box on Saturday night,... maybe we hit the gym Saturday morning and Bank some calories, we maybe fast till lunch and then a light lunch. Those methods are extreme yes but would allow you a lot more calories without ruin. Or you simply indulge less in those calorie dense meals. You have half the portion that you would normally, you order boiled rice instead of fried, you have one drink rather than four. It is the excessive way we overindulge that is detrimental. So indulge, enjoy yourself but do it in moderation. Let's stop going one step forward and two steps back on weekends. Work hard, play hard and smash those goals every day of the week!
