Mikey and Kathrine were married at The Parsonage at Dunmore Park last summer! I loved this wedding and have been wanting to post some of my favourite images of their day for some time now. I finally got a chance to ask the bride who all of her vendors were and what thier favourite part of the day was. Here's what she had to say. 😊
The whole day from start to finish was out of this world, and a day we will certainly remember forever! We got married after being together for 8 y...ears and wouldn’t have had it any other way than spending it with our amazing friends and family at the most beautiful location!!
One of the highlights has got to be the double decker retro buses that took the bridal party and guests from the Chapel to the reception venue, these were a massive hit with the guests. Also the acoustic drinks reception where we had Mark & Adam give us brilliant entertainment was a fab touch to our day and made a great atmosphere on the terrace.
Finally, a massive thank you to YOU Jen for getting amazing pictures of our day that we will cherish! The photo album is beautiful and our parents loved their surprise gift at Christmas with their parents album.

A lot of you may already know my story about how I was pressured by the midwives to breast feed my little boy. For those of you who don’t I hope this helps educate new mums out there. About 5 days after my son was born there were orange crystals in his nappy. I asked the midwife that came that day what they were and she said she didn’t know. This obviously concerned me as we’re relying on these women to know everything about our babies. The following day an older midwife ar...rived and said this to me, ‘Those are called urites. He’s starving because your milk hasn’t come in.’ She was hard as nails and said it matter of factly without considering that I was a new mother, completely sleep deprived not to mention hormones all over the place from just having a baby. That day I check into the hospital with my first ever panic attack. I thought my baby was going to die and it was all my fault. Because there was no space in the mother and baby unit the hospital put me in the mental ward for 5 days and wouldn’t allow me to lock my door. More panic! There were people who were really gone in there. Some were suicidal and I could hear them plotting their deaths with each other. I wondered if the hospital staff thought I was mentally ill as well and that’s why they decided to put me in the mental unit with my 6 day old son. Yes he was with me as well! I received no help whatsoever to educate me on what was happening. They never explained I was having a panic attack, never explained about anxiety and cortisol and never offered a therapist to even come and speak to me. I literally was left in a room with my son alone. I’d went from 11.5 stone to 8.5 stone in a week. It was horrific! Some midwifes I’m sure are lovely but I had a terrible experience with mine. This particular woman changed my life forever and made me a very scared mom for a good chunk of my son’s first years. I learned how to manage my anxiety and panic attacks with paid therapy, exercise, meditation, good vitamins and eating well. Some moms are not so lucky and this particular mother in the link below actually lost her baby! It needs to stop. If a baby is fed that is best for everyone and please for goodness sake do not let your midwives bully you or make you feel as if you don’t know what’s best for your baby! We recently came to Jenniflower for a newborn session with the addition of our 2 year old and family dog in on some photos. Jen was amazingly patient with us all, especially our 2 year old who has never done well with having photos taken, until now! We have some amazing photos of our girls to admire forever and will definitely be back for more!!

We cannot recommend Jenniflower photography enough, we have just had newborn pics of our baby boy and the they are wonderful, we are so pleased with them.

We cannot recommend Jen enough. She is extremely generous with her photography packages and her time. Jen has a wonderful eye for detail and captured some truly stunning shots, so much so that our wedding photos were picked up for a full page spread in a wedding magazine. Jen also did our invitations and we’ve never seen anything like them anywhere else and were really eye catching. 3 years later and Jen did our Mother Nature pregnancy shoot which was so special as she had done our wedding. We can’t wait for her to capture our baby girl too. Xx
