Drivers CPC Courses
• Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive
Descriptor: This module aims to give clarity to the existing Road Transport WTD /EC Drivers Hours Rules on areas such as breaks to ensure compliance to the regulations.
• Road Sense and Awareness
Descriptor: Lack of road sense and violation of traffic rules are the main causes of the rising number of traffic jams and accidents. This module investigates how these incidents can be reduced.
• Safe Loading of a Goods Vehicle
Descriptor: This module is a guide about the daily checks HGV drivers must carry out to maintain safety standards for loading, securing and unloading goods safely from their vehicles.
• Defect Reporting
Descriptor: this module gives a general guide about the daily /weekly / checks HGV drivers must carry out to maintain safety standards for their vehicles.
• Fuel Efficient Driving
Descriptor: A typical 420hp heavy-duty truck engine consumes fuel at the rate of around two litres an hour when left idling and stationary. This module takes an overview on how the driver can reduce the vehicles fuel consumption.
• Operators Licencing and Compliance Guide
Descriptor: The Driver & Vehicle Agency is committed to ensuring road safety and to contributing to the reduction in road deaths and casualties. This module views how operators can maintain vehicle roadworthiness and explain the responsibilities and systems required to ensure vehicles are operated legally and safely on the road.
• Tachographs
Descriptor: Tachographs record information about driving time, speed and distance. They are used to make sure drivers and employers follow the rules on drivers’ hours. This module investigates why you must use a tachograph if the vehicle you are driving comes under EU or AETR rules.
• Drivers Road Risk
Descriptor: This module gives the owner /fleet operator practical advice on managing work-related road safety issues.
• Emergency First Aid (7 Hours)
Descriptor: Employers have to risk assess their workplace first aid requirements, This module is a Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work
