Went here for the first time the other night with my partner -we had two burgers. A haggis burger and an Italian. They were absolutely lovely and huge!would highly recommend! I like the fact that it has outdoor seating for the warmer months :) will definitely be back soon!

We had the Wake for my late aunt. It was the perfect venue in the area to the right of the bar. The buffet was perfect and the staff could not have been more helpful and attentive. We very much appreciated the kindness shown to us.

Was there for the very first time yesterday before the Scotland/Ireland match with my family, throughly enjoyed my time in this bar , couldn't have asked for better friendly staff , I will definitely be back before the next match x

The best mac n cheese i have ever tasted .

Brilliant service, fantastic food the guy singing was very good also.

Will deffo be back .

Just had another visit to Jessie Mays - new chef has only been here a few weeks but has improved on the already fantastic 2 for 1 pizza offer (Mon-Wed) by offering all the usual pizzas in calzone form: outstanding value and excellent pizzas - chef seems a lovely bloke too and great service from the bar staff as usual �

I’ve been coming here for about a year, really like the staff. They’re accommodating and this place is vegetarian and student friendly. I’m not a student personally but this is a nice place to do some work and have nice food/wine etc. They tend to have the news or football on and also music but it’s not too loud to work which is great. They deal tentatively with unruly customers (once in a blue moon) which is also worth mentioning. Thought I’d finally leave a review! ���

I was in here for the first time after the football last night and really enjoyed it, the staff were very friendly and we were served right away every round, I also met some lovely people who are regulars...will definitely be in again..�

Great place. We had 2 for 1 pizza - which was gorgeous!! Our waitress was lovely and oversell a really lovely place! Would totally recommend!!!

Great bar the pizza � was fantastic good service you have to go an order a pizza 2 for 1 on certain nights will be back thanks for a lovely afternoon �

Excellent staff excellent variety of drinks excellent food has music on all the time and when football is on its off so all in all 5 stars easy !!!!

A great bar and a very welcome new venue in Gorgie, just what we needed. I don't drink beers/larger so great to see a nice selection of spirits inc Edinburgh Gin and Hendricks (and you get some cucumber which is pretty rare in bars outside of the city centre). Popped in today and spotted some quirky jar cocktails have been added to the selection (tried the Mojito) - great to see you trying new things. We're regulars and look forward to lots more visits.

Would have been 5 stars had it not been for my visit yesterday before the game! What is with the blaring music all of a sudden? Have a look at the customers you had in from say 1.30 to 3pm that were going to the match. They're all guys with not one of them under 30 probably! Not like we're all going to start dancing with each other is it??

Going for a few drinks before the game is almost a tradition but please don't ruin it with music that is so loud that you can't have a conversation over it.

Pump the volume up after 3pm if you need to but leave the music OFF before the game so we can all have a chat in your nice pub.

Good beer, good whisky and good service otherwise but please restore peace!

Went before the footie yesterday & nearly didn’t stay as the kitchen apparently only do breakfast rolls on match days. But the staff were great & happy to make us something ...I had the garlic mushroom starter, followed by the chicken fajitas ....the food was excellent.

Thought it was strange that a cup semi-final was on the TV and there was about a dozen people watching it the sound was down on the TV and they were playing music that quite clearly nobody was Interested in surly football should take presidence over music this is not a criticism more an observation and this wouldn't stop me going back

Local pub with some rough diamonds as regular customers and similar staff. Can get a bit boisterous during live football matches on TV. Great pint and good prices.

I went for lunch with my friends & was impressed by the refurbishment. I had sweet potato fries which were fantastic .However the choice of roll I wanted for my main course was not available and the meal arrived without the listed salad & was just a roll & tortilla chips.

A group of 7 of us, not a bad joint however most of the burgers we ordered had buns burnt beyond belief and somehow still made it to the table in front of us.

Very didsapointed with this place after visiting it for the first time .. a friendly debate with one of you're barmen turned nasty and his attitude stank ! Racist comments was made by him ,will be telling everyone to avoid this place ,have no time or tolerance for bigots .

Took my gran to try this place a month ago as fairly new and I am a local.

First the place was filled with flies so bad I killed 3 left 2 on the table and handed one to the waitress who didn't seem to bothered. I ordered a soup and a roll it was band and disgusting and gran what she ordered wasn't that great either but the next day we were both ill �

I would not recommend this place to anyone
