Worst service I’ve ever experienced. I had been using this caster for about a year. Delivery had always been fast and I can't knock them for that - but as far as casting goes I don't think they're cut out for handling complex models. Things were frequently sprued in awkward ways with no consideration for the design - this resulted in a ridiculous amount of clean up which ruins the designs & makes them unsuitable for mass production/wholesale. There is also a lack of consistent communication & the invoicing was confusing.

What really was the last straw was this - they messed my last order up spectacularly - incomplete, cast in the wrong metals & several pieces arrived broken. They then redid the parcel without warning and sent it to my old address after I had notified them of my change my address several times. When I brought up all the errors they simply told me they wouldn't be my caster anymore instead of accepting responsibility for their mistakes. Posted about it on a jewellery forum & was flooded with messages from other jewellers with similar experiences - shoddy results, a bad attitude & even refusals to return moulds.

I have emailed them serveral times since August trying to sort out the outstanding bill and make sure I get my already fully paid for moulds returned. Haven’t had a single response from them! I’ve had to discontinue several designs because they won’t return my molds and the original order they messed up resulted in angry customers and me having to refund over £300 of orders. Now I’ve received a collection letter for the outstanding amount on the account and they’ve even lied saying they’ve been in contact with me which is not at all the case. Had they responded to my emails 2 months ago this would have been resolved by now. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

I am more than happy with casting done by Mike and his staff. My castings are very difficult to do and are technical nightmare and on top of it i do only order in small amount. Never had any problems with quality or service provided by Wallis Hunter.
I did use 3 other casting companies before but product was below acceptable standard. Now i am happy to know if i put order i will have everything done on time and with no problems.

Me: So you cast them anyway without telling me so I could tweak the design?"
Mike (owner) "Yes...lesson learnt for you"
After digging my heels in (and him being pretty rude) I did get a refund but from then on he made my casting experience difficult. With that and the constant irregularities in my invoices compared to what I've received I have gone elsewhere. Shame he spectacularly lets down his nice staff.To note, I used this company for three years. I have had many (over a hundred ) of a certain piece cast by them over the three years, after i pointed out an error in my latest delivery they then stated they couldn't cast this piece again.
