Well yesterday was super-duper busy, having had great sales of crochet market bags & rope bowls and almost completely selling out of eco-sponges (of which i thought i had brought plenty!) πŸ˜‚ Thumbs-up to the people of Perth, going for eco-answers and greener gifts πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Today we will be in Perth Civic Hall! If you have watched the "War On Plastics" programme with Hugh and Anita, you will definitely need to pop along and see what's available on our stall. All sorts of awesome alternatives including eco-sponges, market bags, jute shoppers, jewellery etc...

**DRUMROLL** Eco-Sponges!!! 🌍🌳🌾🐝🐞
A modern & environmentally-friendly twist on a cleaning technique which Dundonians have been using for generations! These handmade sponges have soft recycled cotton on one side, and hardy woven jute on the other. They have excellent dish-washing capabilities; cutting through tomato based sauces, burnt on rice & oily pans with no problems. Once dirty, the they can simply be thrown in the washing machine and then hung up to dry, and then reused.... Once it has reached the end of its useful life, the just chop it up & add to your compost heap or "green waste" bin. (FYI, they work brilliantly in the shower, too!) πŸ˜‰
I will be selling them individually at Β£4 each, or a mixed-pattern pack of 3 for Β£10.

Recently at "Jist Jute HQ" we've been revelling in this gorgeous autumn weather we've been having, and every dog-walk has turned into a harvesting trip. Sometimes we set out with something in mind...other times we just stumble upon something we think "hmmm...wonder what happens if...?"
So some of our harvest (and some of the results) can be seen in these pics; oak galls, walnuts, rowans, cherries, rosehips and dock seeds.
I'm looking forward to working with these new colours, but what I'd like to know are what YOUR favourite colours are?

Foraged some new wind-fall "ingredients" this morning whilst walking the dogs. Soon we will be trying Sweet Chestnut, Oak Gall and Walnuts! Autumn is finally starting to inspire me... just as I'm preparing for Christmas!
