Well done to Grace our Student of the Week this week!
Our main class was very much kick and kumite focused last night. A hard class, especially after the equally tiring fitness class.
Our second class worked on the use of hips, kumite then finished with the opening to Unsu.
... So a fully packed night!
PLEASE REMEMBER our Summer schedule starts next week. Class times will change and all are welcome regardless of grade. Check the website calendar if in doubt!

Well done to everyone who sat their gradings this weekend with Nagaki Sensei!
Especially our JKS Edinburgh contingent which did us all proud as always!
Last nights class was really good fun with everyone happy after their gradings, or at the very least feeling relaxed 😁.
... Fitness class was a kumite based one with some reaction drills to finish.
The main class focused on some applications from Hein Nidan, mutiple blocking with the same hand and countering.
Our advanced class worked on some extracurricular blocking and grabbing techniques, timing work with advanced kick/destabilising techniques and then some kata to finish!
See you all on Friday!

The style is not important..as we journey through life karate is constant to keep your body and mind healthy.
And when some of the young ones watch the older students watch respectively...
Also, remember that traditional karate is a journey of discovery that takes a life time, whereas competition is over in an instant...
