great place to relax and great for night out

User

Well what can you say about Foxes.........you either love it or hate it ha ha ha.

As for me well being born and bread in the highlands (though I now live in the south of England) I love it and always go there without fail when home, sure on occasion bouncers have made the wrong call.

By example once me and my friend turned up at the door and despite the fact that he had not had one alcoholic drink he was apparently refused entry for "having had enough to drink" but then when he sneaked into the Den he had free range throughout the venue and was not challenged once for being too drunk, to be fare as he was pretty much sober am not surprised.

But generally this is a good place to go it's always rammed packed on a Sat night and comfortable on a Friday night with it's live music everynight it's well worth a drink.

I will deffo be back again soon love this place.

User

We strolled into JF for a last night cap on our way back to accom. It was a great atmosphere inside with live music. The locals were very friendly and it was a good vibe for a thursday night. Really unexpected evening

User

This place was recommended by the owner of the B&B we were staying at.

It did not disappoint. Lovely staff, great atmosphere and the live music? Aye aye!

I will definitely return next time I visit Inverness.

User

My partner and I came to Johnny foxes yesterday for out lunch. We both had the macaroni and it was amazing! Service was great from the moment we walked in! We'll definitely be back here!

User

I would like to thank all the staff at Johnny Foxes for accommodating us while on holiday in the Black Isle. Although their policy is no dogs except guide dogs, when I called and asked if it was possible to bring or dog with us, as our son who is Autistic and won't go anywhere on holiday without the dog they made us more than welcome! The food was lovely and we had a lovely time. It may seem nothing to most people but it meant a lot to us!

Many Thanks!

User

Had a awesome time fabulous food and our waiter Kenny was awesome 👏

User

Didn't plan to come here but what a fantastic meal, the food was great, a burger for me and a steak for my wife both were great and the service was fast and helpful, compliments to the chefs and staff. 😁😁

User

Brilliant music and atmosphere. Bar staff were very helpful and friendly, super busy night and they looked after us so well. Band were fab, place was jumping. Food was good and quick, liquor coffee very tasty. What a great mix of people, ages and backgrounds. I will be back. Can't talk today for singing along and chatting to new friends.

User

Awesome cocktails. I had the fire in the bru ry and #brockmans tale of sweet and sour made by our lovely banterous barman Stephen! Good laughs and awesome cocktails

User

Nice to have room to move for once which was a pleasant change. Staff were good, so was the beer but very expensive. Had some chips and onion rings to round things off. Curried chips were braw. All-in-all a good pub but pricey.

User

Great place.......every time we have been in we've had a great time, bar staff very friendly and the bouncers do a great job, never eaten food here so can't comment on it.

Entertainment on every night from around 10:30pm so can't recommend Johnny foxes enough

User

Was sat right way but it seemed to take forever for the waitress to get there, Could it have been because she needed to play with the guys at the bar and/ or clean every other table before even getting my drink order. I order tea but wasn't even offered sugar and/ or milk. It's really good that they don't do tips cause I would have written one. Food was good. Service sucked.

User

Was so overpriced and the place was dirty with rotten fish on the floor under the table which I stepped in, told the bar tender who never even apologised. The smell was so bad we had to move tables to finish our average bottle of £20 wine .Wouldn’t return!!!

User

I consider myself a customer, had often lunch and dinners. Went yesterday for lunch, and food was not good as it was before. Sorry.

User

Travelled all the way from peterhead. Spent well over £100. Unhappy with the bar staff at the den. Got kicked out the “vault” cause it was booked. Even though there were no signs saying it was booked. Although we were out by 21.30 and still no one was in by 23.00. THEN!!! Was kicked out the bar cause one of the us was wearing “sports” shoes. When the hell was conserve shoes were classed as sports shoes?! Severely unhappy. Won’t be back! So petty!

User

Talk about being pre judged! Went to jonny fox in Inverness on fri night for the start of our hen weekend, we travelled from south Aberdeenshire a small group of ten inc 2 in their 50’s and 1 in their 40’s, the rest were middle 20’s and 30’s. We were taken to our table by a grumpy Andy! Got a drinks order taken, he then came back for our food order. Bride and 1 hen went to toilet another followed couple of minutes later just as water was being brought to the table, on her return she was advised by the group that apparently “Andy” had been told that we were not allowed anymore drink bc the “bride to be was drunk” this of course was devastating to the bride to be as we only went there bc the bride to be and her fiancé went many times with their kids on visits to Inverness and this was her favourite place to eat! I’m not gonna say we were sober as that would not be true, yes we had a drink, but we were in no way drunk, falling about or being drunk idiots, nor were unruly, or extra loud, and there were no children in our area or in the whole place. Bride to be’s sister and a hen asked to speak to the manager, who said “no” she had definitely not said this and there had been a “miscommunication with staff”, this was said after we said we would go next door to Jimmy Chungs who after checking we’re happy to seat us! “No no” she said “I’m so sorry that this happened, I’m actually quite upset this has been said”. Fair enough we thought! Then waiter comes back and says no the manager had said the minute we walked in the door “watch the hen party they look drunk give them water” so we got our very adequate food to say the least, I’ve tasted fish exactly the same from Young’s in the freezer section! Got our bill when the manager came over after another hen went to pay the bill and said that quite frankly the service we received was very poor! Manageress came back and apologised to the bride to be but admitted that she did say that our party looked drunk but water was always brought over to the tables, but as a way of apologising she offered us a round of shots!!!! Hmmmm so to drunk to get another drink round but not to drunk to get a round of shots! We took our shot and left with our pride, dignity and respect very much intact which can’t be said the same for Jonny’s fox Inverness!

User

I had a terrible night. Rude bouncers and they let people in the club with trainers but not me for some reason.... Overpriced drinks and people dressed up like they are in Las Vegas but really they are in the arse end of Scotland. I'm from London and somewhere like here would die in 2 months!! Go to the Black Isle bar it's much better! Adiós hijodeputa

How hard is it not to mess up a main meal of burger n chips, and pie n chips n a side order of cheesy garlic bread. The main arrived fairly quickly but not side which did not arrive until we had finished the main. (we asked for the side to be served with the main). On payment of the meal we were asked if everything was OK. Which I replied No! at this point the bar manager decided she would like to argue that I was wrong. I can only say that for a very big chain pub (which was very quiet possibly 12 people in the place). The customer serve was poor, the food was average the lager was terrible and it was all OVER PRICED!!. I will never enter that place again and will ensure everybody I know stays well clear. (As an ex serviceman of 22yrs service I have a lot of friends and family who will be avoiding your premises). I have lived in Scotland for ten years I've never been so poorly treated like just cause I have wasn't happy with the serve. Just saying!!!!
