Julie Williamson Designs

Designer-maker living and working in Shetland, Inspired by the local scenery and wildlife, creating unique designs with stories and memories to share.

I am a textile designer living and working in Whalsay Shetland.

I graduted in 2009 from Shetland College with a degree in Contemporary Textiles, before graduating with honours degree in Design for Textiles from Heriot-Watt School of Textiles in 2011.

Specialising in screen and digital printed fabric for interiors. I am influenced by Shetlands rich heritage and culture and inspired by local imagery. I love to use stories and memories to create designs showing a story through a scene.

I currently create table /wall lights, drum light shades, pinnys, table runners, cushions, napkins, canvases and small prints.
