Welcome to K9 Walks

I am a Retired Police Dog Handler and Trainer with 18 years experience of working and training Police dogs. I am fully insured and a member of East Lothian Council as well as the Professional Dog Walker Scheme.

If you're like my family and I , your pets have become family members. When you can't be home for them, whether it be because of work, holiday or other obligations, you want them taken care of with the same love and attention you give them. That's exactly what we do at K9 Walks.

K9 Walks is based in Pencaitland, East Lothian and covers the East Lothian area. I offer a professional dog walking and pet sitting service. Dogs have been a huge part of my life and I have been fortunate enough to have had many dogs looking after me. I have also owned and cared for a number of cats over the years. I have many years experience in walking, training and caring for dogs through my work as a Police Dog Handler /Trainer.

For dog walking I provide a pick up service after which your dog will enjoy a fun and stimulating 1 hour walk. Your dog will be walked with a maximum of three other dogs and during the walks I will give the dogs some basic obedience training, with the owners consent, in the form of recalls, sits and downs. All training will be done in a motivational way with food and praise as rewards. This will provide the dogs with a fun and exciting experience whilst at the same time improving their overall obedience. Please note that the training is basic but complimentary. In the event that your dog becomes dirty or wet I will towel dry in an effort to return your dog as clean as is possible.

I also offer a pet sitter service for cats or small animals. This will typically be a 30 minute visit in which your pet will receive lots of attention, feeding, refreshing water, cleaning litter, administering medication etc. During the house visit I can also pick up mail, water plants, check house.

Please note that the dog walking service covers throughout East Lothian and the pet sitting service covers the Pencaitland, Haddington, Tranent and Longniddry areas.
