π³οΈβπ LGBT History Month! π³οΈβπ -- Radclyffe challenged all the stereotypes of femininity and masculinity back in the early 1900s β€οΈ They're remembered as an influential LGBT writer and their best-known work is 'The Well of Loneliness' (1928), which had lesbian/trans themes. It deals with the life of Stephen Gordon, a masculine lesbian. Lots of people today say Radclyffe was trans and that the history books have wiped the real story.
There was a court case after the novel was published in the UK and all copies were ordered to be destroyed. It's now back in print (phew!) so go and grab yourself a copy! ππ

WE LOVE Paisley Museum β€οΈ -- It was our 2nd workshop exploring the Cooperative Women's Guild on Monday. This time we learnt what the colours and flowers on the Guild's banners represent and then learnt how to cross-stitch. We're creating a modern day banner inspired by the Guild! ππ
