Nice location and hotel fine for the price
Wonderful place, personal touch and nothing is too much trouble. We wish the new owners the very best of success in their new venture, so far they have a number one fan in me. They have made such a difference to the ambience of the hotel. Thank you
Lovely staff. Lovely food. Beautiful views
Its an oldish building which creates its own problems, mainly the bathroom, its tiny, but it just about serves its function.
That's the only negative, we stayed on a Friday and Saturday, expected it to be busy in the bar, and it was. Friday we dined in the restaurant, but on Saturday, after a day out on the Isle of Bute, we we're too late back to get a table, but one was found very quickly in the bar, can't fault the service, nice food too.
If we need to stop in this area again, I'd have no hesitation in stopping again.
Love this place. Brilliant location, great staff, great range of food from good quality pub food to very special specials. Great range of beer on tap and a cosy environment. The folks running it over the past few years have done a brilliant job. A real community feel to this place.

The location of this hotel is stunning. The views out over the Kyles of bute are incredible. Nice atmosphere and good food.
The hotel was very nice and centrally located. We just stopped in for some coffee as we passed through town just before noon. The service wasn't ideal. We understood that the pub wasn't open for service, but the server seemed a bit bothered for just two cups of coffee.
