dropped in today - Wool heaven is the only way to describe it. Seriously I had to be pulled back to the table to eat some of the amazing cakes and swish down a pot of tea before I was allowed to look at the amazing variety of everything a wool connoisseur would need, it certainly filled my crochet artisans needs . thank you so much guys for letting me shop just a little bit.

User

What a gem of a place. I felt like a kid in a sweet shop, so many wools to choose from and threads, material, log burners and so much more. As if that wasn't enough they have a cafe which sells the most amazing home made cakes. I will be back when we are next in the area.

User

We were on holiday and I needed a certain type of thread for a cross stitch sampler that is difficult to get hold of. I popped in to ask if they stocked it, they donā€™t do separate cross stitch threads, but they do sell kits. However I was given information as to where I might find it locally. I had a quick nose around and seeing the lovely looking food decided we would come back.

So when we returned we had lunch which was all freshly prepared to order. No fancy menu but wholesome sandwiches, toasties, panninis and soups. Great tasting coffee and a good range of teas. Oh and how could I forget the cakes and tray baked all made on site or from a local bakery. The staff were really friendly and we sat on amazingly comfortable sofas by a log burner which was great as there was a horrible storm outside.

After eating out lunch I spent a good half an hour looking around. There is a great stock of loads of different types of wool and needles. Loads of accessories for knitting and sewing.

For me it was the fabrics that really caught my eye, there were loads of ideas for quilting with great colour schemes. Lots of fat quarters and yards and yards of fabrics in every colour of the rainbow covering everything from something for nursery curtains through to Christmas fabrics.

Great supply of Gutterman thread for lots of different types of stitching, zips, buttons, other fastenings as well as the normal haberdashery items.

Iā€™ve never seen such a great range of Brother sewing machines and overlockers in one place with something to cover all budgets.

So even though we were on holiday I had to buy some fabric as Iā€™d never seen some of the patterns anywhere else. Just need to think of what to make with it now.

We enjoyed being there that we went back again two days later. Sad we are now going home, but next time we are there we will be coming back and Iā€™ll be keeping an eye on the online shop.

User

We were on holiday and I managed to escape my wee one and join a cheeky sewing class.

Tracy was a fantastic teacher, the ladies were all very welcoming and Shirley was very happy to sell me my first overlocker!

Brilliant coffee and scones to boot - highly recommended.

User

We spent last week in kenmore and loved this place. There were 5 sets of needles clanking away! The girls had scarves knitted in one evening. And although we didn't sample the cake this time, it looked so good we're looking forward to the next trip. Great craft shop and knitting kits. Lovely friendly welcome and advice. Gorgeous wool

User

Visited Karelia House for first time today. I was in fabric heaven ļæ½

Great service both in the craft area and cafe.

Can't wait to visit again.

Now to go and be creative with my new Moda fabric and beautiful kid mohair.

User

Thought I'd have a nice drive out from Stirling with Karelia House as my goal - loved the drive, and loved the lunch and huge variety of sock wool and fabric more! Shirley was hugely helpful and the other shop staff cheery and efficient. I will be back!

User

Thank you so much to all at Karelia House for the wonderful spread that you put on for my mother-in-law's little gathering today. It meant the world to her to meet up with her friends again in such a lovely setting and the food was wonderful! xx

User

Karelia House is a fantastic place to visit in a beautiful location. There is a large selection of fabric, wool and accessories. The coffee shop serves super homemade meals and delicious baking. Staff are very helpful and welcoming.

User

I went along to the Sweet Pea demonstration, it was a 250mile round trip and was so worth it. The welcome and helpfulness of all the Karelia ladies was just perfect. Thank you all so much, the coffee and bacon roll were excellent too.

User

I was in the market for a quality embroidery machine which was a very considered purchase.

I visited Shirley, Harriet and Tracey several times over a few months before making my final decision and really appreciated the time they spent with me to make sure it was the right one. No hard sell x Very knowledgable about options based on my needs and ability and I felt very much the final decision was the right one ā¤ļø.

Delighted with the service and after sales support I've received and would have no hesitation in recommending Karelia as your go to dealer.

Five star service x
