I am working with Quest to deliver training to senior pupils in schools and we need your help!
Quest and Aberdeenshire Council source work placements for many disciplines of training but we need you help with ICT Software Foundation Apprentices.
This is a really exciting programme of training for S5 and S6 school pupils which allows pupils to learn in class but then also attend a workplace to put into practice what they learn.
... The pupils need to go into an employer once a week for around a half day. It will be the same day every week.
It could be a large business with an IT team or a small business with a need for ICT support or a web design department.
The pupils will be involved in a couple of software projects – could be programming, developing/changing a website, helping with Applications development.
There is no cost for the pupil attending. If a company is struggling to recruit in this area it could be a way to test the water and see if the young person could work out.
Any ideas / interested businesses would be great!
If you send details to me I will pass onto the Work Placement unit at Aberdeenshire Council and they will be in touch. We are looking to start from August to next May.
