BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY Since my recent retirement from Kazoku due to poor health and loss of sight, we have been trying to find suitable people to carry on the Kazoku story and until earlier this week we thought we had achieved this. It is with much sadness that I have decided to hang up my kitchen knives and leave Kazoku. Since losing the sight in my left eye and other health and personal issues I feel unable to give 100% to the restaurant and the team. Kazoku will be closed until it is able to find the right people to take the restaurant forward and build on what we started. Staff Vacancy A full time (30hrs+ per week) has become available at Kazoku at The Pelican Lounge for an all round front of house team member. Role will include normal customer service duties, some bar duties and the opportunity to learn about cocktails. If you or a friend think that you would fit in to the team and have a great attitude then pop in or send us an email with a short letter. Experience useful but not essential as training given.

Kazoku Meat Feast! I often get told by my closest friends that they really don't 'do' raw fish!!! And whist most of us that love Japanese food know that 'raw fish' is the tip of the iceberg in Japanese dining, they need a little convincing. So here is a great 'man's dish' - Te Kazoku Meat Feast featuring Beef Teriyaki, Miso Lamb Cutlets, Pork Medallions and Chicken Yakatori Skewers. A SAD DAY FOR COMMON SENCE & THE ARTS It is with great regret to let you know that the intended live piano Blues & Jazz sessions planed have to be postponed. A neighbour complaint highlighted that our license did not include the technical provision to allow live music and we have no option to postpone. When we measured the noise of the piano to the sounds system the system was twice as loud which is ironic. We have now applied for a change in the license and look forward to bringing much loved live musicians sharing their wonderful talents.We will still be having a big Blues & Jazz vibe going off on Friday nights so get down to Kazoku at the Pelican Lounge. Late sushi nights at The Pelican Lounge As from today (Friday 30th November, Kazoku at The Pelican Lounge is open late with the full sushi menu available from 9.00pm until 10.30 weekdays and 11.00 at weekends. With a 'chill out vibe' and regular live Piano or Acoustic guitar music, we also have a happy hour promotion between 9-10pm (2 for 1 cocktails / bottled beers). So come and join us for end of evening chill out and enjoy a cocktail or glass of wine and snack on some sushi if it takes your fancy!

CLOSED FOR REFURBISHMENT Kazoku will be closed from Monday the 5th November until Thursday 15th November for a refurbishment and essential work required in the kitchen.
