Kelty Children'S Gala

Remember on the 26th March (tonight) at 8pm can you all either stand on doorsteps or open a window and clap and cheer as loudly as you can for all the frontline workers - nhs staff, carers, food and medicine delivery drivers, shop workers and anyone else on the frontline, risking their own lives to makes yours better. Let's try and get this around the country.

It is with regret that we would like to announce that the Gala will not be going ahead this year.
We have been closely monitoring the UK and Scottish Government advice and this is the right thing to do for all of our community .
The gala takes many months of preparation and costs thousands of pounds.
... We feel it would be inappropriate for us to continue planning .
We will re group.... when it is safe for us to do so and we will be back bigger and better in 2021

The Gala is scheduled to go ahead on Saturday 27th June 2020.
AT THIS STAGE , it is not a cancelled event.
... Due to the ongoing and ever changing guidelines surrounding Coronavirus we will be liaising with Fife Council.
IF there needs to be a cancellation we will communicate this via this page !
Anyone confirming that the gala is cancelled is doing this to start a rumour etc as this is NOT official !!!!!
We will however be putting the safety of the full community ahead of any event planning and following the guidelines set out by the UK and Scottish Governments.
Which is why we took the decision earlier this week to cancel our Mothers Day fundraiser.
As soon as we hear back from the council we will let you know 👍

Due to the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus and the blanket ban that health protection scotland has put on buffets.
We have taken the decision to postpone the Mothers Day Afternoon Tea.
We appreciate that this may be disappointing to some but we have a duty of care to the community and feel this is the best thing to do.
... Anyone who has purchased tickets can take them back to Lacor for a full refund.

Last nights Gala meeting was very successful.
Lots of ideas shared and decisions made.
Very disappointing that no-one came along to support us though so decisions have been made on behalf of the whole community 😭
