Cosy hotel with nice rooms although some in need of updating a little, great views. Good bar & restaurant with friendly staff.
Would certainly stay again.

Very nice lodging. The room was one of the best of our trip. Heated floors in the master Bath. Pull out beds upstairs were comfy. Beautiful location. Wishing we had more time to relax and play board games here

Great hotel which we have returned to on numerous occasions. The last time we stayed in one of the rooms across the road from the hotel which was in desperate need of an upgrade but this time, we were in the main hotel and can't fault the room at all. Poet's Bar is always a great place to be and the Grill Room is a lovely restaurant. The only downside is the breakfast doesn't really cater to vegetarians.

Just a side note however, when we were leaving breakfast to head back to our room, we stumbled upon guests and what we presume to be managerial staff having a debate at reception. I have no idea what the issue was - it sounded like a dispute about payment - so can only comment on what I observed but the way the members of staff were speaking to the guests was appalling. I've worked in customer service for a while and if I ever spoke to a customer like that, regardless of how difficult and insulting (I've dealt with my fair share) they're being I'd be out of a job instantly. For the sake of the other guests and your job, please learn to keep your cool in trying circumstances when it comes to dealing with customers. Also, if possible, take customers who are having an issue into a private room to avoid tainting the experience of other paying guests.

Aside from the awkward encounter, we had another amazing stay and will no doubt be back again the near future.

Went here for a wedding. The hotel has magical views at the back, friendly staff. Drinks were reasonably priced. Food was quickly served and good quality

We were there for a wedding using a preset menu. Adult food was good, but children's menu is somewhat lacking more than different variations on grilled cheese toast. The staff is very attentive and sort any problems very quickly

We stopped here for one night heading south from the top end of Scotland in June 2016. Some of the rooms are a bit tired, but it is in a beautiful location and has a fine restaurant. We'd definitely visit again.

Visited for lunch we were told to sit in either the grill bar or pub lounge. We decided to go for the grill bar as it was better scenery
No one was around to seat us so we sat ourselves at a table. We were handed menus when a waitress finally greeted us (rather rudely) which only had large meals on them so we asked for sandwich menus as we were having a meal later that day. We were told that this is the only menu they use in the bar grill (not what we were told on arrival) and if we wanted sandwich menus we would have to move to the pub lounge. Finally ordered our food after moving locations, food was below average. One slice of ham on the sandwich which cost quite alot in my opinion just shy of £8 the butter was on thicker than the ham.... others in my group complained the bread was stale.... the staff were elusive on the bar and the reception staff were like bickering house wives with fresh gossip from the fish van. I would not recommend it at all

Just back from a weekend at one of our favourite places. Have been coming to the hotel for over 10 years but have to say, it's time it had some TLC. The rooms are dated and the hotel in general is in need of refurbishment. We've stayed in room 3 a number of times over the years and the same crack is still above the bathroom door, as well as the tired curtains in the bathroom! We were disappointed not to be able to take afternoon tea without giving 24 hours notice and also slightly puzzled by the chef's refusal to cook our steaks blue. Also agree with a previous comment re breakfast. On the plus side, the staff were all very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Sad to say, although we will always come back to Kenmore, doubt we'll stay at the hotel again.

Beautiful setting, lovely town. Helpful staff, decent enough food in the Grill Room, where we ate as part of deal. Good whisky selection in bar. Slightly sub average buffet breakfast. Room 16 boiling hot, couldn't turn heating down, & quite noisy air con outside window.
