One of the coaches we used in Champoluc over the winter. We can organise the provision of quality coaches for tour operators as well as providing driver reliefs in the Scottish Highlands and Central Belt over the summer touring season.

Kerr Nugent Ltd. has been operational as the main provider of tour drivers in the Scottish Highlands for many years and now also can include the provision of local guides and a consultancy services for tour operators considering bringing tours to the Highlands.
From our research we have found that many operators from outwith Scotland either do not use the Highland area as a destination or do use it, but often not to best effect. This would appear to be due to lack of knowledg...e about route availability, timings and availability of facilities and places of interest. Another problem would appear to be drivers hours and covering for the drivers days off.
We can provide the solutions!
Driver Provision - we can supply relief drivers for days off in the Highlands, Edinburgh and Glasgow. All our drivers have an in depth knowledge of the areas covered, considerable experience in driving all sizes of tour coaches on Highland roads and are CPC and full PVC licence holders of many years standing. We can usually also provide drivers to take over coaches in case of need or driver illness.
Consultancy - timing itineraries, building complete itineraries from a single day out from a Highland base to compilation of tours of varying lengths. An itinerary will include information about places of interest, ideas for morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea stops, visitor attractions en route, alternative routes which are not normally used but which are of high scenic value and coach friendly as well as indicating the direct routes, approximate timings etc. They can be of a general interest variety or specifically tailored to suit the interests of your clientele and can be single centre based or multi centre based, depending on your requirements.
Guide Provision- provision of guides for anything from a single day to a part or complete tour. The guides are all Highland based with an intimate knowledge of the areas involved and experienced in tailoring their talk to the interests of the clientele rather than just giving the standard spiel that can be found in any guide book.
Liaison between tour operators and coach operators – we now also can offer a service where we can link the requirements of tour providers to those of the coach operators, in order that the areas and circumstances where misunderstanding often occurs are eliminated. This is particularly relevant in the case of firms providing winter sports tours to the Alps, where a lack of understanding about the legal and other requirements of each side are not understood by the other side.

Winter has come to Cairngorm now! We are heading off back to Italy for the season soon and can't wait to get back to the big mountains. We shall still be available on the normal email for our contacts and back to driving coaches as from the Spring.

The business has been expanding! We have had a full summer so far and are also looking forward to a busy Sept./Oct. both on the coaching side and with construction. There is still some availability for weekend coaching relief work in Sept. and Oct. but midweeks are pretty much fully booked now.
