The external paint work on our house is almost complete and by tomorrow the men will be gone and we are happy to say the cafe will be re opened - but be warned, you may need your sunglasses as the house is looking quite dazzling!!!

Visitors to the area that are unused to driving single track roads please take note. It's just common sense and good manners really and will make your visit stress free and so much more enjoyable.

Due to essential maintenance work being done to the house (it's being externally cleaned and re painted) it is unlikely that the cafe will be open this week. We are looking forward to seeing the end result but meanwhile feel it would not be very welcoming to cafe users with a team of men working with paints etc and vehicles blocking the entrance. Should all be done and business as usual next week.

After the stunning weather of the Easter weekend, when it was so lovely to be open again for the season and to see so many people visiting the bay, the weather has now reverted to being somewhat unpredictable. As we are so weather dependent we keep a close eye on it and make decisions about opening in the moment. Today is looking quite chilly and a steady drizzle has set in which does not look like it is going away anytime soon so at the moment we are closed. We will reassess again shortly and hope to be open later. Roll on the more settled weather!!

Re opening tomorrow (Good Friday) and looking forward to seeing friends old and new.

We are finally getting back on track with opening up for the season. The marquee is up and ready for cleaning inside and out before we start taking the equipment in and start cooking. Watch this space folks, we are aiming to be open by Wednesday next week.

Essential building works due to be done to the house mean that we have been unable to erect the marquee and open the cafe yet. Our builders need to be able to get a dump truck around the back of the house and the marquee would block their access. We apologise for this as we had promised we would be up and running again for the Easter holidays. How ever we still aim to be open by Easter weekend and hope to be ready to meet and serve you all. Watch this space!!

Looking down the garden towards the track to Ostel Bay. So many of the summer visitors don't get to see how beautiful it can be in the winter as well. Although the marquee for the cafe comes down in the winter we still have our little holiday cottage 'The Hideaway at Kilbride Farm' warm and cosy and ready for anyone wanting to experience the beauty of the area at any time of the year.

Hello lovely customers and friends of Kilbride Farm Cafe and a very happy new year to you all. We aim to be opening up again by Easter this year, or even before if the weather permits and we look forward to welcoming back customers old and new. You wont find another place to stop for a drink, ice cream or something to eat closer to the beach than us. In the meantime we would like to remind you that you can still come and stay here, close to beautiful Ostel Bay and enjoy its b...eauty with out having to share it with other people, at this time of year you can often get the beach entirely to yourself. Our little holiday annex is the perfect place to stay for long brisk walks and cosy evenings in (maybe after a meal in The Tighnabruaich Hotel where we also chef) long hot deep soaks in the bath and comfortable nights sleep in the super king sized bed are a great way to relax after the chaos of Christmas and new year. Check out our fb page or take a look at our reviews on TripAdvisor or Airbnb. Contact us direct through the fb page and cut out the middle man and booking fees. We look forward to being your hosts.https://www.facebook.com/kilbridefa rm/

Cafe closed today due to adverse weather conditions! This marks the end of the season for Kilbride Farm Cafe, we can't risk more high winds blowing it away so as soon as we get a break in the weather we will be packing it away until next Easter. We had a fantastic summer with such lovely weather and will miss meeting all the people who visited but its time for KFC to go into hibernation. A big thank you to everyone who visited, see you all in 2019.
